Incredibly slow service and poor communication for an ASUS work laptop warranty claim. In the past 3 months, the laptop has been with them for more than 2 months after the fault was initially misdiagnosed and fell out of warranty. This is now a the third time it has gone in for repair and eliciting a response for how long the remained of the repair will take warrants no response. ASUS South Africa has been equally poor in service. I’ll happily return to Dell (or other brands) in the future, who had a technician come out and conduct the repair at my house, when the laptop required repair.

Very poor service from the Services center. I purchased a Motherboard, CPU and memory from sales. I then proceeded to install them in a new 2U Chassie I had. I could not get the motherboard to show any display to a monitor. I also tried a second PSU and the same result. I then drove to Pinnacle Micro and booked the whole unit it on the 25/11/2024. After 8 days I had not had any feedback so I sent an email on the 2nd Dec 2024. Warren came back to me to say the unit has been sent for approval for replacement and that I would be notified once the unit was ready. On the 5th of Dec I had to send another email for an update and Warren came back to me and said the approval had need a proved and the unit will be ready for collection by the COB. I said I would follow up with him on Monday to be on the safe side. On Monday the 9th Dec I had to send another email and Warren came back to me a and said please can he have my address to deliver the unit as as there was a problem with the stock. I said okay and gave him my address. On the 10th I sent another email to find out the status and Warren came back to me to say he is waiting for the ETA on the stock and should be by the COB. then he said he would deliver the unit. On the 11th of Dec Warren said he would get the unit deliver to me. When the driver delivered the unit he only delivered the Motherboard nothing else. I contacted Warren again and he said he would deliver the rest of the items the next day. On the 13th I had installed the new motherboard but I was getting the same error. The unit should have been tested in full with all items together before being sent out to me. Now I had to drive back to Pinnacle Micro and rebook the unit in on the 17th.

"I had the pleasure of speaking with Mr. Brandon Naidu at Pinnacle Micro Durban regarding a warranty claim on my SSD, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service. From the moment I was transferred to him, Brandon went out of his way to assist me. He was professional, courteous, and extremely efficient in handling my query. What stood out most was how he kept his promise to email me the necessary correspondence in a timely manner, something that has become rare in after-sales service these days. It’s so refreshing to deal with someone who understands the importance of feedback and follow-through. Brandon truly renewed my trust in after-sales support, and I highly recommend Pinnacle Micro’s service, thanks to him!"

I had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with Pinnacle micro Midrand. Laptop went in and when I collected it was still faulty with the same problem. I emphasised the importance of having the laptop in time for payroll, but they insisted on booking it in again, no spares and and and with no concern for my business. In short if you are a student or if you use your laptop for business you cannot purchase any laptop/device that uses pinnacle micro as a repair centre…I can guarantee you you will be disappointed.

I'm amazed Pinnacle is still in business. I recently had a faulty Asus motherboard which is still under warranty - but the reseller had closed down. The board was returned to Pinnacle and they gave me the run around almost from the moment they received it. Firstly, claiming they had no stock of the board - then going as far as claiming they had stopped ordering all Asus AMD products. I contacted numerous resellers in CT and they said I was wasting my time dealing with Pinnacle - that they would give me the run around and would at best most likely force me to accept a substantially inferior and cheaper replacement board. Or more likely just not replace or honor the warranty at all! Well after a week of being given the run around - they have stopped replying to my emails. I will however not let this matter rest. It is *********, unfair and unacceptable business behavior. The computer industry and consumers must be protected from this business practice.

I took my ASUS in for repair (wont boot up - just 2 weeks out of warranty) The hand in procedure was incredibly uninspiring. I was promised feedback in 3 days - NOTHING. I phoned to find out whats happening - they promised to call back. NOTHING. Try to call their support line (supposedly delivering "the exceptional". It took 10 (TEN) calls to get through - then I was put on permanent hold! Simply a HORRIBLE company to work with.

DO NOT BUY ASUS PRODUCTS because you have to deal with this lot if you are in Durban.Faeeza Pillay and 'Abdul Haffejee' could not get me a quote for a simple keyboard replacement.I sent them a mail in April and after going to the branch myself they made all the promises that they would send me the quote but still no joy.DO NOT BUY ASUS products because this lot are the only people in durban that can help and they are completely ***********.The management seem to be doing a **** poor job with this branch.Shameful that we get this type of service in South Africa.

I had the displeasure of booking my ASUS laptop in for repairs at Pinnacle Micro today after the ASUS Repair software notified me that the battery the laptop came with is not supported. When getting to the service desk there were a number of people sitting and standing around all busy on their phones and barely looking up because they are so scared that they might get asked to do something. Is this what service has become? This is not acceptable
