Today I went into the prime time watch shop in the Table bay mall to make a purchase for a watch that was for my boyfriend’s mothers birthday. The watch I had my eye on had a label stating that it was R1199 but was brought down to R779 and keeping that in mind we went ahead and made the purchase. The shop assistant who helped us was not very interactive . she was on a call and all her attention was given to this person over the phone. The transaction was done and we left the store . Something told me to check my slips which I then did and I found that I had been charged the full priced R1199. I went back into the store to query this . The assistant whose name was Unathi was still on the phone when we got back into the store and still did not make any effort to direct her focus on us where there should have been since there was a error that was made. She then proceeded to call another person from American Swiss to help out . This Lady named Carron walks in , she didn’t greet us or make any effort to make eye contact with us . She checks to see what went wrong and she looks at us not even saying “ sorry for the inconvenience or sorry for the error made on our side” no she looks at us and says “ well it was human error” basically implying that we should just accept the price that was charged R1199. My boyfriend went on to say that we will not walk away with that amount because a R500 between prices makes a difference and it is false advertising when the sale price was clearly marked next to the watch but you want us to just accept that we were charged the full price. She then proceeds in a very upset manner to tell us that they can give us a gift voucher with the difference on it , we didn’t want a gift card . She then tells me well the only solution was to give a cash sale refund which would apparently take long because we had to wait until money was taken in by the store. She did the cash sale refund and were told we would have to wait. When everything was done they still did not apologize for the inconvenience caused or even the fact that they were the ones at fault as this would not have happened in the first place if Unathi was focused on the purchase that was being made and not on the person that she was on the phone with . Worst customer experience I have ever had in my life and these ladies need to learn about good customer service. I will never make a purchase from there again .

If you ever wanted bad service.... omw!! We took my son's watch in for a strap replacement on the 28/8/2019..... it's the 15/02/2020... and we still dont have it back. The watch is a metallic black... they sent it back scratched with a dark grey strap. And asked if we were satisfied!!! Can you believe it. No area manager called. Just the sales people dealt with us. Went back yesterday and still NO answer as to when we will get it back or what they going to do about the damage caused to the face of the watch. It's been 7 months.... can anyone assist?

Ironic how much time they waste customers. I went there to claim an insured watch, of which the claims process was seamless only because Ibrahim (who has since resigned a week after I had submitted my claim) was literally the only one in store with knowledge of how to process an insurance claim. The TFG Insurance guy I dealt with on the phone throughout the process too was very helpful and made the claim seamless on his end. The issue started once my claim was approved and a voucher sent to the store. Between Margot (Prime Time staff), Shakeerah and Nicole (both American Swiss staff) they managed to order a replacement (on a Saturday) from another store as there wasn't stock of what I wanted in stock. I was assured that the replacement piece will be received within 3-5 working days, but on the 5th day I had to follow up on the order, to which I was told (by Margot) that a watch had been received, just not the right one. I took it upon myself to go to the store and get clarity on the matter, where a new manager (Alex) was present as well as Margot. I asked to speak to the manager aside and explained the matter to him, to which he replied "there's nothing I can do". I insisted that there is surely something that could be done, to which he suggested he'll contact the area manager to collect the piece from the Tygervalley store (apparently the only store in the WC that has the watch in stock lol) and her response "my hands are tied", which I thought was utter garbage. I was told by both Margot and Alex, after a while going back and forth and getting insincere apologies, that I'll have to wait another 2-3days. In all that's happening no compensation for wasting my time and incompetence on their end was offered. To top the whole matter off, once the correct piece was received, I was called to collect, only to spend a further 1hr20min in store. Alex did not know how to process the claim and had to call a FEW American Swiss staff members for assistance (Sadiqa and Bradley). Sadiqa was the most helpful with assistance from a lady that kept being contacted telephonically to assist with the process. After hitting a "stuck", Bradley got called down, who eventually completed the process. Meaning an insurance claim took 7 people to process and seemingly only 3 people had some idea of how the process works. Good thing the store is closing down, NEVER PURCHASE OR THINK OF GOING INTO THAT STORE, YOU'LL BE WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!

Prime Time literally has the worst customer service ever. DO NOT take your watch to their store to be repaired & DO NOT buy a watch from their store. I bought my fiancè an Armani watch and I regret it. I'd rather buy at American Swiss as I've bought multiple watches at their store and had NO issues. I decided to try out Prime Time and NEVER AGAIN, I repeat NEVER AGAIN. This staff needs to be trained on soft s****s & they need to learn their products as well as how to be upfront with customer's. They should learn how to treat customer's with respect & not make them feel like liars. The manager should learn that arguing with a customer does not always lead to good resolutions. This store has left a bad taste in my mouth and I'd never support this business again.

I am honestly so disgusted in the service at this store that I'd NEVER recommend ANYONE to buy a watch at this store. I bought my fiancè a watch and the crown broke after 5 months. I took the watch back about a month and a half later but NO ONE informed me that I would have to pay a total of R399 as the crown fell out of the warranty service. I went on the 23rd of February to the store and received my watch on the 17 April. I went thrice to the store inbetween this time & STILL, no one mentioned a fee. I was there on 14th April and I was told that i wouldn't have to pay anything as it was under warranty. Today my mom fetched the watch for me as I was upgrading my phone and she came to extremely upset (my mom is the most chilled out person so she doesn't get upset easily). I asked her what was wrong and she informed me how the MANAGER argued with her and told her that "He is very sure that his 2 assistants informed her of the fee". TOTAL BS! I was present on ALL occasions where not ONCE was a fee mentioned. The fee is nothing but it's the damn ETIQUETTE. It's misleading! This is not the first time that this has happened. The first time my mom took her Michelle Herblin watch to Prime Time, the manager phoned her and told her about a fee, she told him that she would return the watch as no one informed her about a fee. This time we actually thought that we were clever and asked 3 times about a fee and was informed that there was no fee, how stupid were we ha! The manager refused to give the watch until we paid. Robbery in broad daylight! This store will NEVER see my face again. I will tell everyone i know never to buy anything again as the staff clearly doesn't know what they are doing. Never knew this is how certain companies do business, lie to you and then make you pay by changing their story. Utter BS!

I am extremely upset with Prime Time Jewelers in Vaal Mall Vanderbijlpark. I was there at the beginning of the year to replace my watch (Michael Kors Bradshaw) battery that came with a 6month warranty. A few months later I realised my watch was losing time and checked to see if the battery was still under warranty and it was, so I took the watch back to Prime Time and they told me that there is a mechanical fault in the watch and it is not the battery. So for that reason I took the watch put it in my purse and went home to find the box with the watch warranty before I could get it fixed. A few weeks later (beginning of August) I was on my way to the mall to take in my watch so it could get fixed and for some reason that day I decided to put the watch on my wrist instead of the box and moments later I realised sharp razor like cuts and burns an my arm. I was instantly furious because the last time I wore my watch was before I went to get the battery replaced. I booked my watch in to get the mechanical fault fixed (not at Prime Time) and only got it back last week. Now I have a working watch that is scratched and I still can't wear it. I am so mad at Prime Time for employing incompetent people to work there and don't know the value of a watch and how to handle it carefully. I now have to pay out my own pocket to fix it because I have no way of proving that it was one of their incompetent employees the scratched the hell out of my Michael Kors Bradshaw 5K watch.
