It took me at least 5 attempts to get a router contract in June last year then eventually they upgraded an account I had which I didnt consent to in order to conclude my new third contract. A few weeks later I get a call selling me an upgrade on this third contract. I specifically asked why call me when I just took out a contract they said no it's an upgrade not a new contract. So instead of 40g for 250, I would pay 200 for 50g. Which in my call I said is a no brainer. He stated he will send me a sim I confirmed why would you send me a sim when I have one. He said it's a formality. I am now paying for an additional contract I didn't ask for and I have been trying to speak to a manager since November but it seems MTN don't care to fix it. Out of principle I want the contract they offered at a better deal and I don't want to pay a cancellation on the contract I don't want. And I find out today that I paid a pro-rata on an upgrade that was done in January which once again I didn't ask for . I was transferred just today alone between 3 people and everytime I am told I have to speak to different departments. I pay 1 company, I don't see why the different divisions selling me different contracts become my problem. I have been with MTN far too long and every year their service gets worse
One of my accounts were due for an upgrade and I had tons of consultants call me for this upgrade. I told them I am happy with what I have. I want to remain the same. And they confirmed it was a good package. NOT at any point has any consultant told me that the package was a Black Friday special and would fall away and charge me more than triple what I usually pay. The debit order has since gone off WHICH I NEVER BUDGET for. I have since gone in and changed the package and request my debit order be rectified and the difference be returned. I have sent 2 complaints 4 days ago and until now, NOONE has contacted me. This is NOT fair. You cannot take money that doesn’t belong to you
I have contacted telkom to get a pocket router for my cellphone as I had internet at home and at work. A week after the call I recieved the incorrect device. I contacted the consultant immediately to lay my Complaint about the fault and eventually went as as far as the complaints department, spoke to a manager who assured me I would have my contract cancelled only to have another device delivered incorrectly. I have since been charged for two accounts which I never asked for and when I went into telkom to cancel it face to face. Was advised that I would get charged for cancelling two contracts I didn’t want in the first place
My mother who is a pensioner has a dstv account, full package which she pays every month. Was cut off from December, at least three times every time thereafter. We called them several times ( it’s disgusting how many times we have called them), each time they have a different reason why the dstv is not working. We have sent them numerous proof of payments and each time it’s not good enough or if it is, someone doesn’t do their job by fixing. I find it absolutely DISGUSTING that a large company such as this who charges a fortune for monthly costs cannot get their service right. And when WHY should my pensioner mother have to waste her money on phone bills for a company who has NO regard for their clients.
