Every month I have to email them to find out where my Garden and Home magazine is. When I first subscribed it was a monthly magazine, before I received my first issue was notified it would be only one issue covering 2 months. But still 12 full issues (2years worth) September/October 2025 issue I am STILL waiting for, it's 2 Oct now, they not sure when their distribution centre will be doing it ...that's not good enough, the reason I subscribed is that I would get the issue delivered before it goes on sale as used to be the case many years back when I first subscribed. Please WHEN CAN I expect my September issue.
Very happy from the time I requested a quotation to the delivery and installation was within a week. The installer was very precise and worked neatly and efficiently. That goes a long way these days. Highly recommend.
Took my VW Polo blueline for a major service and timing chain on a Saturday morning expecting to have the car back by midday. Well I received a call from Leroy to say that the timing is out and they cant get compression -later that morning another call to say the motor is ceased and head needs to be skimmed!! Well...... how can that have happened when I drove the car in with no issues but for a service and timing chain replacement...... I had another mechanic I spoke to and was told that they must have put the timing chain on the wrong cog and therefore ceased the motor.!! Hence they had to send it to be machined and long story short i was given a "discount" for all the work they did - I should not have been charged for the ceasing of the motor as it was fine when I drove it in there..... Once i get the car back i notice the tappet cover is missing, i called and was told the car never had a cover when i brought it in!! It did, I know my car and open the bonnet regularly, would have known if there was no cover. Well he said she said so here I am without a cover and out of pocket to much more than was quoted..... I will never ever recommend them to anyone and if you do take your vehicle there, make sure you sit and watch them working on it !!!!
The efficiency and professionalism of getWorth is second to none. Staff are friendly and welcoming. When you drop your car they have a great area to sit and do your work if you need to (WiFi, coffee) while they check out the car. Paid immediately while you are still there and then you get sent on an Uber back to work/home. If that's not enough the prices they offer are a lot better than trade in and even better than webuycars. Transparency and good communication all the way. I opted take a lower initial amount (was in fact still higher than my trade in offer) and then get a bonus when the car sold, car was sold in just over a month and again an immediate payment of my bonus.
I contacted Philips Consumer Care on the 29June2019 after my XL Airfryer caught alight !! Still to date have had no response although I sent them pictures on the 2nd July - queried with them on the 11th and 15th July and still have not had any feedback. Although the airfryer was 3 years old I feel this should not have happened. I had just finished making chips and no sooner had gone to sit down when I saw smoke and smelled plastic burning..... The flames were pouring out of it and the front of the drawer had melted so quickly, I unplugged it then and had to cover it with wet towels to put the fire out.! This is very dangerous and would advise if you have an airfryer to UNPLUG it from the power every time you finished using it - but also make sure it has cooled down before thinking it is safe.! I will be purchasing another Airfryer but will not be another PHILLIPS.
I have to compliment Discovery on the speedy and efficient service I received from Peter Rankhathali in connection with repairs on my vehicle. The "bump" only happened on Thursday afternoon, was reported to Peter on Friday afternoon - it is now the following Tuesday and the work has been authorised already. Highly recommended!! Thank you
