It's not your ordinary supermarket as such even though it says so in their name. It's like a "R5 store" that also sells some basic grocery items at competitive prices. Although you won't be able to do your monthly grocery shopping here you'd be able to get some basics including bulk rice if that's your thing. I'm not sure what to make of this store quite honestly but it appears to have a constant flow of customers.
It's astonishing to see how many complaints are made in a day against Nedbank. What's even more astonishing is to see, whether it's Nedbank itself, or Third Party debt collecting agencies or attorneys attempting to collect 'old debt'. I also received a threatening SMS about old debt made nearly 13/14 years ago. PLEASE people; read the following link: https://www.debtbusters.co.za/faq/what-is-prescription/ before entering into payment arrangements for debt that may have prescribed ie. Old debt. Furthermore, there are several articles/sites on the Prescription Act or you can download the act itself for further information and insight. Kindly note: This is not an encouragement to not pay your debt. The economy depends on us paying our debts (where/when it is due).
While everybody else was cutting down on the quality of their margarine by presenting 70% spreads as margarine, Sunshine D, was one of the few brands that didn't give into the trend. Then new packaging was introduced. But in actual fact, it's a new product, a spread; not the margarine I came to love and never switched from. While the packaging still says it's suitable for 'Melting, Sauces, Spread, Baking, Sautéing' I definitely do not agree! The product has changed. I could previously add the margarine to my oats but not now! It's absolutely horrible, to say the least. If I wanted a Lite spread, I most certainly would've bought it. The texture is different, the colour different, looks horrible in oats and when used for frying too...and they thought we wouldn't notice. I've been loyal to this brand since I was a kid but now I will be looking at another margarine brand. Don't try to mislead the consumer. We'll always be able to tell the difference.
Purchased a bad product a few months back that according to the label, hadn't expired yet. I contacted their customer service who advised someone would collect the product for testing which they did. Nevermind the fact that I was compensated by way of a voucher. What I found to be really impressive was that months after my complaint I received feedback from Parmalat advising they'd tested the product and have actually CHANGED the lid of the jars in order to prevent condensation resulting in a bad product. Wow! In this day and age customer service of this quality is unmatched. Keep up the good work, Parmalat! SA needs more companies like yours who is committed to customer service.
Purchased a Bar-One chocolate after a long time. Boy, what a waste of money. I was so disappointed. There's no caramel center, just nougat. I've noted the decline in quality as far as food goes from major food brands. Everybody's cutting quality, not cost though, but to what end? I mean, that chocolate was disgusting as far as chocolate goes. And what's more annoying is that these companies are changing their products but keeping the packaging unchanged which is such a misrepresentation! Well that's the last Nestlé product I'm purchasing!
Does not even deserve the one star!! Bunch of scamming thugs and any debt collecting agency acting on their behalf (Credit Intel) I'd be very suspicious of too (especially after checking out their website) because it's crystal clear given the reviews on this platform that Computech is scamming people!! And I've noted the amounts claimed from people are about R1300, same with me. And this modus operandi goes back a few years now already yet they're still continuing with business as usual ie scamming people. Makes me sick!!... And of course this business wouldn't be claimed on this website because it's a scam, durr!
