Very poor service at Cell C follow up to return a faulty new phone
Very poor service on 15 November 2023 trying to return a faulty Vivo Y27 phone that was delivered to me on 14 Nov at 2 pm. Took 34 minutes of being sent from one person to the other. Dropped calls and agents who do not even take the time to speak slowly so one can understand what they are saying. Eventually got a reference number - 3111500157. Could not add an additional contact number after the case was lodged. A real frustration as I am travelling this week so am not at home most of the time.

La Madeleine in Pretoria is fantastic
Each year my hubbie takes me to La Madeleine to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It's always special with amazing food and service and ambience.

Disappointing food at Minos Pallos, Greek Restaurant, Heerhugowaard, NL
I ordered Mousaka which is supposed to be a baked dish with layers of mince and aubergine with a white sauce topping. However, at Minos Pallos, it is a shepherds pie with a white sauce topping. Not an aubergine slice to be found. Instead it comes with layers of mashed potato instead of aubergine. This is not a mousaka!! I highly recommend that the chef goes for training in how to make mousaka. The tiny portion of so called "mousaka" comes at a price of about 25 Euros.

Fountains Hotel has a serious Hygiene problem
****roaches in my bed, bathroom and passage of apartment. New Room that was promised never materialized. So we had to move to another hotel. Hygiene clearly a problem. Refuse collection bins at St Georges Mall entrance disgusting. Very noisy. Strange characters hanging about outside. This is clearly not a 4 star hotel.

Capitec Bank Forex veeery slow to respond
Capitec Bank Forex does not respond to calls and emails. I called for two days on 9 and 10 Dec 2021 and emailed them. No one answers the phone. Please hire more staff to cope with Covid conditions.

Severely overcharged by Checkers Brooklyn and Queenswood in Pretoria
On the 21 Nov I was overcharged for several items at Checkers Brooklyn Mall, Pretoria. This was for maple syrup where I was charged R31,99 and the advertised price was R15.99 each. I bought 8 bottles. Also, cheese advertised at R27.99 I was charged, R35.99. I queried it and after more than 20 minutes wait I was refunded R144. This made me think to check some previous slips from Checkers. Lo and behold! On 16 Nov I was overcharged for Cracker Mix. It was on sale for about R35 but I was charged a whopping R51.99 per box - and I bought 6 boxes!!!! On 19 Nov I was overcharged for cottage cheese R29,99 when it was priced at R24,99 each - I bought 2. On 14 Nov I was overcharged for Cape Mackerel R29,99 when I recall it was about R25 per 400 g tin at Queenswood Checkers.

Kruger National Park Punda Maria gate and rest camp standards not up to scratch
Punda Maria entrance gate decrepit. No water in the toilets. Toilets filthy. Staff section bottles of beer lying around. Outside entrance very badly littered. Does anyone care about this rapid decline in standards. Is there any manager? Shop very slow service! Bought sunglasses and got a dirty bag for my glasses. Can't believe this is supposed to be our major international attraction.
