After the death of my father, I submitted a claim along with all the supporting documentation to Metropolitan Life on 4 October. The receipt of this claim was not even acknowledged and now 15 days and two follow-up emails later, they have still not made contact never mind processed the claim. We live in Monte***** and returned to South Africa for the funeral and to make the necessary arrangements including submitting the claim to Metropolitan. We are now back in Monte***** which makes it difficult to call and follow and and we are reliant on email communication which is non existent from this organization. Very disappointing.
So my mother is ill and needs medial cover. We approach Discovery for a hospital/chronic plan who take TWO weeks to eventually send the policy acceptance letter only to find out that she will NOT get IMMEDIATE chronic cover (as promised) now with an exclusion period of TWELVE months AND after having been request to cancel her previous cover before they can continue with her application. She also incurred costs seeing her Dr to get the chronic application completed. SO...she is now out of pocket financially, without medical aid and NOT intending to proceed with Discovery on their "revised" offer...where she has to pay R25 200 over the next year WITHOUT being able to claim anything! Nice one Discovery!
In Dec 2018 a municipal pipe burst and my paved driveway was bulldozed with no regard to the massive pot plants on either side of the driveway or rescue the bricks for re-use. After 2 month this is the shocking job the TWK Municipality did.
Freekin ridiculous Makro SA ? ...on the 29th January I ordered a Defy hobb for a kitchen being built. Delivery is 5-7 working days..on day 9 i start enquiring as to where the item is as my carpenter would like to complete the job. I am then told by Makro that there is no stock...could you not have told me this days ago?? Then Im told I will have to wait 7 days for a refund. So for two weeks you have had my money and I have NOTHING to show for it. PATHETIC! #MakroOnline DONT use their online store.
I opened a FCA (Foreign Currency Acc) with Nedbank. On their website it clearly states that this is an interest bearing acc. Well I have had €100 in the account for around 6 months and have yet to receive a cent 's interest. I brought this to the attention of Nedbank on the 11th January via there Facebook page. Client Services has referred me to my branch, I have called the call center and there have been emails back and forth apologizing for the delayed response. STILL no one has explained WHY i am not earning interest. Its like no one knows what is going on there or how to handle the inquiry.
NOT FAIR!!! I saw a Goldair 2 plate gas burner advertised for R995..a day or two later I go online to buy it and see its now R1399...so I buy it...two days later is back on promotion for R995!! They promised to give me a refund now I dont hear back from them?? Tazneem from Helderburg Branch??? Their solution to the problem is that I drive from Table View to Grabouw to collect the unit, then drive from Grabouw to Somerset West to return the item, then drive back to Grabouw to hand the item to my builder, then drive back home to Table View. 2 hours on the road and R200 in petrol...clever solution Builders :(
I own a large home in Grabouw with various apartments and hired Shane to install a pre-paid meter on one of the units and put the same unit on its own circuit breaker. He was quick to quote and call for the deposit. The job was done and the balance of payment immediately requested. I found out two weeks later that not only was the unit NOT on its own circuit breaker, but that there where TWO units connected to the prepaid meter. He said he would come and fix the problem but never did...now he ignores calls and whats-app messages. I would definitely NOT recommend using his services!

The burger patty was processed and felt like it had been microwaved and the sauce was bland as if from a packet.<br />There were only two channels on our TV and the toilet filled up to the brim.<br />When complaining via email to the owner i received a defensive and cheeky reply informing me that my email is "Of utter distaste", that their burger patties are 100% beef made on site and that there is no microwave in the kitchen (Jaa right...on all points) <br />I was informed that maintenance only work till 5pm ...so we have to not have toilet facilities in our room till the next morning (on check out) <br />The owner Elmare was quiet cheeky and disrespectful in her reply and was very quick to inform that there would be no refund.<br />Well Elmare, I hope you choke on the R900 because we will never be back!</p>
<p>Telkom Case Number: AI ********** </p> <p>PhoneFinder Deal Code: ********** 99</p> <p>In July this year I came across a Telkom deal through Phonefinder.co.za The deal was for an iPhone6, Uncapped calls, Uncapped sms's and 20G of data a month for R999pm.</p> <p>The 1st debut order went off at the correct price, the 2nd month there was no debut order and the 3rd month I was hit with a debut order of R2686.00 odd...when I enquired with Telkom they said the extra R399pm was for the devise...I advised that the special (for which I have email proof) INCLUDED the devise...I have yet to receive a contract, a statement or a refund.<br />Seriously BAD service from Telkom Cellular sales :(</p>
