I booked a spa appointment more than 2 weeks in advance. I was told on the day that they don’t have my appointment and the are fully booked for the day. I had to drive from Cape Town and had no warning that my appointment was cancelled. This is unprofessional and disappointing.
I’ve been experiencing poor connectivity and it is affecting my productivity at work. Despite sending several messages I can’t get any support from rain. Rain please let me know if you can solve the problem or cancel my contract. I can’t afford to loose any more time at work.
Like many of the reviews listed I ordered winter essentials from Cotton On on the 27th April. After no response on delivery dates I received 3 out of the 5 items 2 weeks later. Several emails later I had no response and I have no idea if I will ever receive these items or if I will be refunded.
I became fed up with poor and inconvenient customer service at Cell C and wanted to close my accounts. I went to the v&a branch and was told that they can’t do cancellations in the branch and have to call customer service which I did in the branch. The answering machine said the cancellation department was closed. The manager gave me an email address for customer service. I emailed and expressed I no longer want to use the service and in response Cell C customer care said they can’t cancel my accounts.
I bought an Iphone 6 at V&A Waterfront Vodacom store on the 30th April 2017. On the 28th Aril 2018 the phone stopped powering on. I went to the De Waterkant Vodacom store who advised me to go to an unaffiliated Apple Doctor. Since the phone was still under guarantee I went to the V&A Waterfront Vodacom. V&A Waterfront Vodacom send me to the Apple store where I waited 1 week for an appointment. 1 week later Apple said the warranty lies with Vodacom and send me back to Vodacom who said the warrantee lies with Apple and so on and so forth. Finally V&A Waterfront Vodacom agreed that my phone stopped working prior to the warranty expiring and send the phone in for repairs. 2 weeks later I receive a sms that the phone is ready to be collected. Back at the V&A Waterfront Vodacom they knew nothing about the phone and promised to call. Another week went by before a person from the repairs centre called with a quote. Again I had to argue that the phone was still under warrantee when it stopped working. That I have been given the run around by Vodacom for the past month so obviously now the phone was out of warranty. Several phone calls later the manager at the V&A Waterfront and repairs manager again agrees that the phone was under warranty and the repairs center has to look at it. Finally after 4 weeks at the repair center the repairs manager tells me the phone is not repairable and he will send the phone together with a service report back to the V&A Waterfront to collect. Back at the V&A Waterfront to collect my phone after 2 months still they knew nothing about it and promise to call me back. Finally after going to the V&A Waterfront Vodacom every weekend for 8 weeks asking for my phone, a person at the De Waterkant Vodacom store manage to track the phone at V&A Waterfront where its been sitting for over a month but no one could be bothered to return it. They gave me a service report stating damage to the lens, front and back cover which was not the case when I handed the phone in nor when the phone was returned after months with no explanation. I asked several times for the manager, Kiegan van Rensburg to call me back, including going into the store twice in person and leaving messages for him to call me back. Radio silence from Kiegan van Rensburg. The only defence I have against Vodacom is to go to another provider. Please don’t send me another automatic response from a robot.
I bought an Iphone at V&A Waterfront Vodacom store on the 30th April 2017. On the 28th Aril 2018 the phone stopped powering on. I went to the De Waterkant Vodacom store who advised me to go to the Apple Doctor in Seapoint. It didn’t sound right since the phone was still under guarantee so I went back to the V&A Vodacom. V&A Vodacom send me to Apple next door where I waited 1 week for an appointment. Apple said the warranty lies with Vodacom and send me back to Vodacom who said the warrantee lies with Apple and so on and so forth. Finally V&A Waterfront Vodacom agreed that my phone stopped working prior to the warranty expiring and send the phone in for repairs. 2 weeks later I receive a sms that the phone is ready to be collected. Back at V&A Vodacom they knew nothing about the phone and promised to call. Another week went by before a person from the repairs center called with a quote. I argued that the phone was still under warranty and was referred back to V&A Vodacom. V&A Vodacom who told me to call the repairs manager. The repairs manager said the phone was out of warranty by over a month. I explained that I have been given the run around by V&A Vodacom for the past month so obviously now the phone was out of warranty. Several phone calls later the manager at the V&A Waterfront and repairs manager again agrees that the phone was under warranty and the repairs center has to look at it. A week later the repairs manager calls again with no recollection of our conversation and we go through the whole story again. Finally after 4 weeks at the repair center the repairs manager tells me the phone is not repairable and admits that during the 6 weeks I was given the run around the phone corroded and my data could have been saved had they acted sooner. All the photos of my recent trip to India gone. He promised to send the phone together with a service report back to the V&A to collect. The repairs manager also insisted that their process is very fast and this was the normal time frame for repairs. Back at V&A to collect my phone of course they know nothing about it and promise to call. 2 months later no phone, no retrieved data, business as usual at V&A Waterfront Vodacom where no one could be bothered to try.

I signed up for a tracking device on my car as a requirement from my insurer. It took months of reminders and threads to finally have the device installed during which time I would have been uninsured should my car have been stolen. When the device was finally installed it was faulty from day one. My family received calls several times a week from Altech Netstar that I have been hijacked. Quite distressing I’m sure you can imagine. I continuously raised the matter with them and they agreed to check if the device was faulty. They never came to check the device on the scheduled date and despite trying to reschedule they couldn’t get their act together. Finally I cancelled the service in February 2017 due to non-performance. Six months later they are still trying to collect money for the cancelled service and have now handed me over to their debt collectors. The only response I get is “the matter has been handed over to the relevant department who will contact you” while my credit rating has been destroyed. It seems once you’ve signed up for their bogus service you will never get rid of them.

I have a monthly contract with Vodacom plus an additional an 1 gig of data each month. This month on the 5th all of my airtime and data was gone. I called customer service and couldn’t get any answers. I went to Vodacom shop in gardens centre on Saturday morning with my query and was asked to wait. An hour of waiting later the only answer got was to call the customer service number. At this stage I decided to cancel all 4 my contracts since it is not worth paying for a service that I can only use for 5 days of the month. I was told at Gardens Centre branch that they don’t deal with cancellations and I again had to call customer service. I’ve now been on the line now with customer service to cancel my accounts but as soon as I get online with an operator to cancel I only get put on hold to eventually get cut off. Can anyone tell me how to cancel my accounts with Vodacom or what further action I can take against Vodacom. It seems their system makes it impossible to cancel contracts.
