I recently had East Rand Walling complete a precast wall extension at my home. I was assured that each extended post would be reinforced with steel, but after the job I received conflicting information suggesting this was not done. For over two weeks I’ve tried to get clarity from Frans, only to be met with evasive responses and no straight answers. This leaves me questioning whether the wall is properly reinforced and whether the company is being honest about its workmanship. Unfortunately, this experience has shown me that East Rand Walling cuts corners and does not stand by its promises. I will not be using them again and will be reporting the matter to the NHBRC.
I was de*****ed by an online retail shop that has subsequently turned out to be a ****. I tried to contact the Discovery Bank 24/7 line soon afterwards (end September) only to find out that no one answers their 24/7 number on a Sunday. Spoke to a call center agent approximately 3 days later and provided all the details about the *****. I have to date received zero conformation that an attempt was made to recover the money. Zero confidence in Discovery to take this kind of matter seriously and protect its customers.
Had the unfortunate experience of trying to pick up a mastercard at the Bedford Centre Branch. It was like walking into a home affairs branch. Disorganized chaos. Nobody at the front desk to welcome. When the person arrived, I was handed a cut out queue reference. No idea of how long the wait would be or where to sit. There were already 10-15 people waiting. I decided that it was a waste of time and walked out. Wont be long before the great SBSA becomes obsolete at this rate. Very sad.
Avoid companies that make it difficult to lodge a complaint. Such as Aramex. Ordered goods from America about a month ago. Goods arrived in Johannesburg in a reasonable time but then got bombarded with repeat messages to submit a commercial invoice which was done. Still continued to receive messages and despite a call to the call center confirming receipt of the invoice was advised by an online message that the goods had been confiscated by customs. Very difficult to speak with anyone and resolve the matter. They make it difficult to resolve matters. My advice, use someone else.
If you are expecting fast resolution to a domain problem, then don't bet on Afrihost to find a solution very quickly. The call centre and complaints and services escalation teams simply cant problem solve and what should take a couple of days to find a solution drags on for 6 months. Dont bother sending a "personal"email to Gian Visser to ask for help because you wont get a reply. Poor customer experience and wouldnt recommend Afrihost for business.
Beware of this company. Worst service and still waiting for a refund which I doubt I will get back. Dealt with Debbie. Sent in cell for screen replacement and received back after much delay, a phone which hadn't been fixed and now completely broken. Requested refund and still waiting and don't believe they intend to refund. Next stop lawyers and police. Avoid!!!!!!!!!!!
<p>What a joke of a company!! The best thing for this country would be to liquidate this company. This is a place for sheltered employment where people without any idea of what is going on work. There are no managers, only staff who are scripted to answer in certain ways regardless of not being able to solve a problem. Try and purchase top up on ADSL. Doesnt activate and then try and resolve. Sales say Technical, Technical says sales. Try and cancel your service. Fax through cancellation and nothing happens. Ask for a line to be moved. No surprise, never hear from them again. Ask for two lines and they swap them. Send out a technical person and I think sometimes i know more than them. Try and find out how to compain to the CEO. Do you think you will be bale to find their contact details? Not a chance. Ever noticed new services added to your account without asking? Try and qeury this? What a joke.</p>
