DEBT MANAGEMENT - BAD FOR YOU - THEY STEAL YOUR FREEDOM
PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS TO YOURSELF. Rather make your own arrangements. After 8 months I realized that it will take me forever to pay back my debt. I then made arrangements with my creditors. Within 18 months I settled them, except for my vehicle finance, which is paid in advance at this stage. NOW I hear that I can only get a clearance certificate after my vehicle lease has been settled. I can prove that I am able to manage my debt. Please guys, think twice. They take over your life.

Blacklisted illegaly
Before I went under Debt Management, ( I lost my job through a fire which did not only destroy all we had, but also my work)I never skipped a payment. According to Law, a creditor cannot blacklist you, if you are under debt review before you skipped payments. That did not prevent House and Home to black list me anyway. Eventually I withdrew from Debt Management when I realised the Debt Management Company was only paying over a very small amount to House and Home and it would take forever to pay off. I contacted their Debt Collection Department and offered to pay them double,( as I did with all my other Creditors which were all very kind and is still offering me the lower interest rate until I have paid off everything) . When they realised I withdrew from Debt Management they recalculated the interest and phoned me continuously to remind me of the outstanding payments. I have now paid them completely, and they still want to charge me extra interest because I settled my account earlier. 1. House and Home blacklisted me illegally while I was under Debt Management; 2. House and Home does not care if you make arrangements and are descent about your dues, they even add extra interest and do not care about you as an individual. With House and Home your Settlement is MORE than your outstanding balance. Be careful customers, I would not buy anything from them again, not even with hard earned cash!!! A "thank you" to Mr. Price Home, Absa Vehicle Finance, Direct Axis and Woolworths. They care about you, the staff I dealt with care and were and are still helpful. They met me half way and adjusted my interest to enable me to again in future keep my good credit scoring and they even offer me a discount on early settlement.

<p>PLEASE be aware. They advertise skincare and teeth products. I did not approve the amount of R1431.99 on my purchase. I only approved R250 INCLUDING FREE SHIPPING. 33 days later I still have had no delivery and no answer on the extra amount they deducted from my credit card.</p>
