Cell C has consistently been so poor in support for three months. After having spent many years being a loyal customer and always paying my account on time they are refusing to reimburse what is due me. I have been sent from pillar to post to get my money back and on top of they are still debiting from my account when they owe me. Each time I call I am told to log a new case or they need to reach back office, the level of incompetency is appalling. The amount of money, efforts and energy spent trying to resolve an issue they caused is beyond disappointing. How big networks treat the ordinary customer just because they we don't have the power to fight them is unacceptable.
It's so disappointing that as a loyal customer to Cell C I have to resort to complaining on this platform to be assisted. A few months back I went a month without being able to use my data plan and constantly calling to be helped as a result I paid for a service I had not used. Once again the issue has reoccurred and I have been on the phone will cell c everyday since the 21st of October because I could not use my data plan. The matter has been with their technical team who promised to feedback and still has not. I requested that my bill for last month be adjusted as not being able to use the service was due to issues on their end and that was a failure as well. This morning I called to cancel my contract and I was told that it will only be terminated on the 3rd of December as my notice is 30 days, further to that I will have to pay the full amount in November and December yet I do not have access to my services at the fault of Cell C. I would like to understand why I need to pay for two full months for a service I am not using. My experience with cell c lately has been atrocious.
My experience with homechoice has come and an absolute shock and I discover the issue I had was not resolved through credit check enquiries. In November 2020 I was a victim of identity theft where an account was opened with HomeChoice using my details. I contacted HomeChoice and followed up continuously and submitted a dispute form as per their request. At first email provided kept bouncing back, eventually one of the customer service agents forwarded it to one of their employees in the fraud investigations department and there was confirmation of receipt. I have been under the impression that this was dealt with as the debit orders were cancelled. Almost a year later when applying for a home loan it is brought to my attention that I am being charged and there has been interest accumulated. There clearly was no investigation, they were just happy to ruin my credit score quietly. It is highly disappointing to experience this. There has never been any further communication from HomeChoice, not even from their debt collection departments. This feels like double identity theft but now from HomeChoice. I have been robbed of an opportunity to buy a home for my family because of gross negligence from HomeChoice.
The service I have recieved from Cell C is beyond dissapointing when taking into consideration that I have been with this network for at least ten years. I logged a query on 02 March 2021 in which I was told the technical department would review and revert. The issue was that I could not access the internet using my router which is crucial as I work from home. Since then I have had to buy data on a daily basis in order for me to work. I have been inconvinienced with having to travel to the office all the while I pay a monthly fee with cell c for data services. The initial person to assist tested the my router and sim card and assured me that this was a technical issue as these devices where both fine. The next person advised that I do a sim swap, which I did without any success to my initial issue. I have since had no feedback, called numerous times to resolve this and not to mention have zero empathy from the customer service team. This has been the absolute worst experience I have had with this network. Appaulling would be an understatement of the poor service I have recieved. 2 weeks later still no resolve yet my debit order continues to run on time without fail!
