It appears ever time claims season comes around Hollard's shockingly poor service runs the risk of giving me a pulmonary embolism. The average turnaround time for claims has been 6 months! 6 months and countless follow-ups to get Hollard to fulfill valid claims. I do not see this slacking where billings are concerned. Hollard is always prompt deducting premiums monthly. The recent claim is for a service carried out on my car in October. It is still unpaid despite numerous follow-ups with several of their employees, the latest being Tremaine Andrews.
The Hollard Motor Xtender team is well on its way to equalling the six months it took to process my previous claim following my car service. I submitted the current claim in April of this year and between Maureen Mothogwane, Tinah Mawunda and several other "customer service" staff, Hollard has repeatedly bungled my claim as we come to the end of four months since I submitted my claim. On occasion, it has taken Hollard over thirteen months to send me my insurance policy. I am left with no option but to escalate the matter and the concerned individuals to my marketing colleague and Hollard CMO Heidie Brauer before discontinuing my membership with both the insurance and Motor Xtender. This is appalling service and the company seems unconcerned about losing clients.
Hollard again delays processing a claim on my Moto Xtender policy. The last time I submitted a claim, six months passed before it was processed into my account. It is now a month and a half and the claims process has changed yet again, but the delays persist.
Another claim with Hollard from my Moto Xtender policy, and yet another unpleasant experience due to inconsistencies and flat-out refusal to honour a claim that Hollard honoured before in 2016. The last claim took all of six months to conclude due to lousy service. And the attitude of the Hollard representative points to an establishment that does not value its paying customers. I will be discontinuing my insurance and Moto Xtender cover (which will not perturb those at the company. After all they lose no sleep over losing one customer).
Two and a half months after enquiring with Centurion Upholstery regarding the refilling of my couch cushions, and paying a 70% deposit following the quotation, they still have not fulfilled the job and do not respond to email and telephonic follow-ups and requests for a refund. The disregard and lack of professionalism displayed by Centurion Upholstery are diabolical.
Claiming from Hollard Moto Xtender has become more painful than dealing with the South African Police Service. I serviced my car in early December 2017. The dealership and I failed to get a response from Hollard when submitting the claim. It is now two months later, and my claim is still unpaid, and Hollard keeps sending me the incorrect client details despite me submitting my policy document with the application. You are a shambles Hollard, and I will be cancelling my cover and insurance with you.
