Has anyone bought from Elvora in Durban? At first, I did think it was a **** as my order took forever to arrive. When it finally arrived, it was too small so I emailed them (3 times) asking them if I could exchange for a bigger size, Now they seem to have disappeared from the face of the earth!
Am having an issue with Takealot and I don't know how to proceed. I buy a lot from them and this is the first time something like this has happened. About 4 weeks ago I purchased an Amazon Fire. I was having a problem logging on so I returned it. They told me that there was nothing wrong and they would not replace it. I said great, fine, but could someone please show me what I am doing wrong. This is my 4th Fire, so I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong, and apparently it had been looked at by their technical department. That was 2 weeks ago. I have written to them again on several occasions asking them what I should do next, but no reply. I really don't want to cause a fuss, but I want my product returned - if it is working - or exchanged if it not. I don't think it's too much to ask. I have paid for it. My problem is finding someone to communicate with. I have replied to their emails, but as I say they are not replying to me. How can I resolve this? It's about a R2k spend so I want it back. Has anyone any ideas please?
I don't have to call often, but when I do, I have to say the response is quick. Staff are well trained and on the ball.
Since April, I have been waiting for confirmation of a credit that I am due for some goods I returned. I cannot believe it can take 3 months to let me have a statement or an email. I have written many times but still no luck. Phoning is impossible and sending a WhatsApp is also pretty unsatisfying. Think these guys had better shape up with the takeover of Yuppy Chef. At least they were far more professional.
Had an issue that I couldn't resolve alone but BRENDAN at the call centre was fantastic and solved my issue - even when I had to leave the chat to go to work. Thanks Brendan. You are a star!
I ordered some products from Wellness, but due to Covid they were very behind in delivering which eventually necessitated me to buy elsewhere, but no big deal. I did not complain. After the delivered they sent me an email with a R100 voucher stating that they knew they were late and were sending me this voucher as compensation. Great! I placed another order and was then told that my voucher was 'not valid'. I made a call to their call centre and was asked to forward all the details etc. by email. No reply. I then followed up about a week later. Still no reply. Just rude. I won't be buying from them again. If the voucher was not valid then they could have just told me. I would have still placed my order. The fact that my call and emails were ignored is just not on.

On the 15th December a gentleman driving a hired vehicle from First Car Rental drive into me. He admitted liability and subsequently filed a police report and sent me the number.

Since then I have tried on numerous occasions to get hold of First Car Rental to find out what my next step is. Not having been in this situation before, I have no idea. Needless, to say although I have left several messages, (one person did come back to me but couldn't help) have not heard a word from this company. I have spoken to my insurance company but they cannot assist me unless I pay the excess, have the work done and then they will take the case up with FCR. I am not prepared to do this. I think they should be contacting me to assist. My car is driveable but it still needs to be repaired.
