Disgusting levels of service. After cancelling a booking last year we are constantly fighting with Agoda to receive our refund. All documents they have requested have been sent then they just ignore the contact and fail to respond. They are clearly doing all they can to avoid giving us our refund. DO NOT BOOK WITH AGODA!
Appalling service from Vodacom fibre. It has now been 2 months since I notified them that I was moving house. Since then I have made numerous calls to their call centre, emailed a trillion times and spent one hour on the line with a manager. Despite many promises I am still left without fibre AND MY PREVIOUS CONNECTION REMAINS - GIVING THE NEW OCCUPANTS FREE WIFI ACCESS. Promises to escalate my issues have come to nothing, telephone calls not returned, emails not replied to and a total blank from Justin John BOER who promised to resolve this issue on 5th May. Totally incompetent staff and the worst customer experience I have encountered.
Terrible experience with Samsung following the purchase of a new 55" Q70T Smart TV (for R20,000). From the beginning it was temperamental with applications such as Netflix, Prime and Apple TV. 3 weeks ago it stopped working completely and that is where my problems began. A Samsung technician examined it and said it was a factory fault that could not be repaired. He promised me a replacement but since then Samsung have been appalling. They fail to return calls or emails. Totally unacceptable and I will now be demanding a refund under the CPA. SAMSUNG you are a disgrace. Your Q70 TV is not fit for purpose and has an internal latent defect. Buyers Beware
We were a group of 5 adults planning a reunion for New Year so we booked a 4 bedroom villa on 1 July 2018 and paid the required 50% deposit to airbnb. In November we contacted the owner to enquire about adding 2 people to our booking - making a total of 7 adults, only to be told the we had been charged the wrong rate and she wanted to cancel our booking. Airbnb informed us that as the booking was made in good faith there would be severe consequences for the host if she cancelled us. Because of this the owner offered us a compromise and, being reasonable people, we agreed to it. That compromise was 3 luxury smaller villas and 1 double room plus an additional cash payment on arrival for the additional 2 guests. We duly paid the remaining 50% due. 2 days before check-in we contacted the owner to explain the bed makeups only to be told that she is now only giving us 2 villas and 2 separate bedrooms. She gave absolutely no explanation for this and when we challenged it, said that she was unable to now give us the 3 villas as originally promised. When we asked about compensation her arrogant response was (quote): " I don't negotiate with guest on things it was a honest human mistake. I will rather cancel your booking so that airbnb can give your money back". So this owner expected us to just cancel our reunion that had been booked 6 months in advance and all would be fine because we would get our money back! We felt that we had no choice but to take what was being given to us so we did because we could not cancel this long planned reunion (and there was no other comparable accommodation available at such short notice for New Year). To make matters worse - whilst at the accommodation we spoke to the other guests - and they informed us that they had booked the 4 bedroom cottage AFTER we had booked and they had made a 2 week reservation and the people in the smaller villas had made last minute reservations. So, it now seems that the owner was totally dishonest with us and when she received an enquiry for accommodation, rather than say she was full, she moved us initially to get a longer booking in the 4 bedroom villa and then for a second time she cancelled one of the smaller villas to take an additional booking. It is also interesting to see how inaccurate the description of the 4 bedroom villa is (which has also been commented upon by another guest). It is described as having a private pool. That is not so - the pool is right outside the 4 bedroom villa but it is shared with all the guests on site. This owner clearly has a record for being economical with the truth........
<p>On 4th January I left my iPhone at the Somerset West store who sent it in for repair under warranty. The service centre received it on 6th January. I was told to expect a turnaround in 7 - 10 working days. On 17th January I emailed asking for an update having heard NOTHING. They replied - asking for my access code! Really - my cellphone was sitting there for 13 days and it took me to ask for an update to prompt them into having a look at it? I replied with the pass code and also asked what the delay was. I received no reply. On 19th January I emailed asking for the repair centre managers name and contact details. I received a reply stating that my cell phone was being diagnosed. I again asked for the managers contact details. No-one replied to me. On 20th January I again emailed - no response from them again. Eventually on 23d January I received the name of the manager but no email address. I had to reply and ask AGAIN for the managers email address which I was eventually given. On 23rd January I went into the Somerset West Mall branch and asked to see a manager - I was told that they were not available. The details of my complaint were taken and I was promised a call back. It's now 2 days later and I haven't had the courtesy of a return call. On 24th January I emailed the manager (Elizaan Swart) making a complaint and asking for an update on my repair and surprise surprise - I have had no response. I use my cell phone for business and the ****py old loan phone I was given is about as useless as the repair staff are. I am absolutely disgusted with Istore South Africa - your contempt for your customers is disgraceful.</p>
