I had one a very unpleasant experience at your Woodmead store yesterday. My wife and I went to Kitchenique in Woodmead to purchase some Maxwell and Williams cups for a friend. The owner and staff were very rude and I refused to purchase from their store. We went to Home Etc instead. I bought the same 4 cups which which actually cost more at Home Etc - this was not an issue as I will not support businesses that do not treat customers well. After paying for them, I asked for a piece of gift wrap to wrap them myself at home as I did not have time to wait in the store, plus it was load shedding, the store had no electricity or backup power and it was getting darker. It was already so dark in the store that we had to use our phone flashlights to see the items on display. The assistant (Joyce) said that she cannot give me the gift wrap to take away, but she can wrap it instead. I didn't want that. The second assistant in the store told her that it is fine and she must give me a piece. She was so rude and arrogant and complained bitterly in zulu, thinking that we cannot understand her. She said that she is going to phone the manager to tell her about it. The second lady (I didn't get her name - she previously worked at The Glen Shopping Centre) kept telling Joyce to stop it, but Joyce went on complaining about us as if we were not there. She even told her that the manager is not there and that she is in charge and authorised it. I told Joyce that she shouldn't argue with customers and speak badly about them - in front of them. I told her that her Head Office will not be happy about her behaviour - she challenged me to complain as she does not care what anyone says because she is right. We have bought 4 complete Maxwell WIlliams T&C's collections from this store previously. I will not be shopping there again.
Tasko sells rotten sweets that you cannot return. I bought 2 large packs of Hersheys Kisses (almond) on 20 April 2022. The sweets were stale to the point of tasting rotten. I contacted Info@taskosweetsonline.co.za on 23 April 2022. On 25 April 2022 Sandra De Sousa committed to sending me replacements. Six weeks later and they still have not replaced the sweets. The last mail from them was on 12 May to say that they are sending it on 17 May. They have since ignored my follow up mail. I definitely will never support any Tasko shop again.
We returned a Dyson hairdryer that we bought from Clicks online. It was repaired once and was working intermittently when it was returned. I sent through my bank account details on 06 August 2021 for a refund and I still have not been refunded yet (26 August). We have contacted Clicks numerous times for an update. The customer services representative says that it takes 17 days (working days?) for a refund to be processed. This has to be the worst online shopping experience ever. As a result of this experience we will not be making any significant purchases at Clicks going forward. We will no longer purchase our monthly medicines, supplements and toiletries from Clicks. We will change our Discovery loyalty partner to Dischem and be spending our money there in future. As a word of caution, do not buy any appliances or expensive items at Clicks. Rather spend your money at Takealot or another retailer that does not mess you around with refunds or exchanges.
Shopping at the Lindt Store has been my worst shopping experience in Sandton City. Also the worst Lindt shop experience, and we have been to Lindt shops in many countries. I purchased 4 x 200g chocolate Teddies and a few other chocolate slabs. After I paid by credit card I discovered that I was was not given the promotion of buy 3 and get a fourth for free. I queried it with the cashier (Sonwabo) and he explained that it was only on the 100g teddies. I pointed out the promotional advert behind him that says that 100g and 200g teddies are on promotion. He obviously did not believe their own promotional material and needed to check with the manager. The manager is an arrogant and sarcastic character that didn't even listen to the full story before commenting that I had to purchase 3 to qualify. I was already charged for 4 of them. I didn't quite get her name when she hissed it at me but she was wearing a yellow wig and should be easy enough to identify. They decided that I could wait patiently while they continued serving other customers instead of attending to my issue I requested a refund and was told that the accounts department will have to handle it. I was not happy. It was alright to cheat me and steal my money but I must wait for my refund. I wasn't happy with this solution then she was sarcastic enough to tell me that she can call someone else to tell me what she just told me. After taking down my details for a refund of one 200g Chocolate Teddy I asked for the rest of my chocolates. She said No, she is refunding all of them. This store clearly does not need business. This lady is so rude and arrogant. When we went into the store a guy at the door sprayed our hands with sanitiser. We walked to the back of the store to the chocolate slabs. This same blonde lady rushed to spray us with sanitiser again. We told her that we were sprayed when we entered. Instead of acknowledging it she replied how must she know if she was in the back. How many others have been cheated by this store? I understand that the store has a R2mil target to meet but cheating customers is not the way to make it. On a side note, this is probably the only Lindt store that I have been to that does not offer any Lindors to customers. We regularly shop at the Lindt store in Mall of Africa. After this experience I will not be supporting any Lindt stores again. 3 days later and I haven't received my refund. I have mailed them and received no reply from them.
On Wednesday 01 August 2018 I decided to visit the Mochachos at the Glen Shopping Centre. I ordered 2 take away meals : chicken pieces and rice and 3 chicken strips and rice. I was the only customer present at the store at the time. Four more people came to order meals about 15 to 20 minutes later. My order was prepared incorrectly as an eat in meal. I pointed this out to the lady taking orders and she sent it back. At around about this time the other peoples orders were ready. I enquired why my order was not ready yet and the cashier just shrugged at me. A few minutes earlier a lady arrived and walked into the back of the store. The same lady came out and told me that the order would not be long. I told her that it was already long as I was waiting for 25 minutes already. She replied that 25 minutes is not long. She then told me that if I was in a hurry then I should have thought about it and phoned to order ahead of time. I told her that I eat at Mochachos Sunninghill very often and it never takes that long. She then told me that maybe I should go to Sunninghill to eat. She then said that I need to understand that there is no power and that the centre is running on generator backup power. (While I was waiting at the Mochachos counter the Shopping Centre experienced a power surge for barely a second. When this happened an alarm was triggered somewhere and was blaring in the food court. When the lady walked in she asked her staff what the sound was and the lady at the counter told her that the power went out). I pointed out that the power was not out and that the Glen Shopping Centre does not have a backup generator. She replied that her staff told her that the power is out. I told her that her staff have misinformed her. It wasn’t surprising as they couldn’t even get my order right and They got my order wrong when I ate there 2 weeks previously as well. As we were speaking my order was placed on the counter in front of me. At this point the lady’s attitude went from arrogance to totally crazy. She started screaming at me at told me that she is the OWNER of the store and should be respected as such and she will not let anyone bring her staff down by speaking poorly of them. She was behaving like a total crazy person and screaming at me in front of all of the people present, constantly informing me that she is the owner. She grabbed the order of the counter and threw it onto the counter behind her and told me to get out and go to Sunninghill where they are so wonderful. I asked if I could at least have my money back and she screamed at the cashier to give me my money so that I can get out and go to Sunninghill. As I walked away she screamed that it is no loss as she will gain other customers. Again, all of this pathetic behaviour in front of other waiting customers. I have experienced terrible service many times but none as shockingly disgusting as this. Poor service and bad attitudes from staff is very common as they usually have no interest in working at all. Poorly trained staff can be be detrimental to a business but having such poor attitudes from an owner is destructive to the entire Mochachos brand. What example does OWNER set for her staff? If any customer is not happy they will gladly tell them where to go to because that's what the OWNER will do.

I called up this company to get a quote on airconditioning for a new house.

Their website lists dozens of airconditioners at pretty decent pricing.

Their address is pretty close to where I am building so I thought that I will give them a chance to quote.

I need 10 inverter airconditioners.

The person that I spoke to did me a huge favour by speaking to me.

I told him that I need a site assessment done and a quote on the best solution.

He cannot do a site assessment if I do not place an order first.

I told him that I need a site assessment done so that I know what to order.

At this point he lost interest and cut the call.

The order is probably too small for their business, so don't waste your time contacting them if you want to buy less than 10 airconditioners.

I normally don't call a company that only operates from mobile numbers but I did not notice this when I called.
