I placed an order online of Maxwell Williams plates. When the packaging was delivered, the box was damaged. Most of the plates were shattered. I called them to advise on the exchange process, however they could not assist, saying that they would get back to me. I've also sent multiple emails, but they don't respond at all. I would never recommend to anyone to shop online at Home etc. They might be cheap, but you pay for quality service - and theirs is clearly lacking.

I had one a very unpleasant experience at your Woodmead store yesterday. My wife and I went to Kitchenique in Woodmead to purchase some Maxwell and Williams cups for a friend. The owner and staff were very rude and I refused to purchase from their store. We went to Home Etc instead. I bought the same 4 cups which which actually cost more at Home Etc - this was not an issue as I will not support businesses that do not treat customers well. After paying for them, I asked for a piece of gift wrap to wrap them myself at home as I did not have time to wait in the store, plus it was load shedding, the store had no electricity or backup power and it was getting darker. It was already so dark in the store that we had to use our phone flashlights to see the items on display. The assistant (Joyce) said that she cannot give me the gift wrap to take away, but she can wrap it instead. I didn't want that. The second assistant in the store told her that it is fine and she must give me a piece. She was so rude and arrogant and complained bitterly in zulu, thinking that we cannot understand her. She said that she is going to phone the manager to tell her about it. The second lady (I didn't get her name - she previously worked at The Glen Shopping Centre) kept telling Joyce to stop it, but Joyce went on complaining about us as if we were not there. She even told her that the manager is not there and that she is in charge and authorised it. I told Joyce that she shouldn't argue with customers and speak badly about them - in front of them. I told her that her Head Office will not be happy about her behaviour - she challenged me to complain as she does not care what anyone says because she is right. We have bought 4 complete Maxwell WIlliams T&C's collections from this store previously. I will not be shopping there again.

Home Etc online shopping experience was good. Bought dinner set which was hassle free, and I received the package on time. My query on coffee mugs was dealt with immediately and I received quick replies on my emails.

on the 11th of April i went to Woodlands store to ask if i can exchange a damaged item as i bought it in Centurion. i was asked what did i do to it and if that wasn't bad enough i went back around 5pm to exchange and i was given bad attitude,i was approached by the same lady who was very rude as if i should know their company policy. i walked in with their store bag and she said i should not walk into the store and browse with the bag, i said i have a slip in the bag and she rudely said i didn't ask you if you have a slip. such bad manners, i went there to exchange but her ill mannered behavior made me take a refund instead of exchanging Nxa

On the 08/06/21 i bought a set of pots at Home etc.The lady that assisted me told me if i am not happy with the product then i can return it within 14days.Now with pots the only way you would know that the product is what the shop says its is,you have to cook in it to test it.So we tested 1pot it and found that the product is not worth the price we paid and that we were not happy with how it cooks.Now to me the pots were put in bracket of high quality that it was not in and even the pan's handle came loose.When i told the Manager of the store of my unhappiness she said they cant refund me if i cooked in the pots and the pan's handle she can just tighten the *****,which to me is a supplier fault that needs to be replaced or refunded.we also spoke to a lady from Tevo at Game greenacres and she told us a pot needs be tested through cooking to see if the client is happy with the product.How else would one know.And if are not satisfied with the product you may return it within 14days for a full refund.i just feel that the Manager could of done so much more than just say i will take your details and my boss will only be back on Monday and we will contact you Monday or by latest Tuesday.She also said she wont be able to give us a refund for something that has been used after we only had the product for a few days.I truelly hope our issue can be resolved as soon as possible.

Went into the Somerset Store (Helderberg Mall) at 11:50 today , I was looking for a few items. Not once was I offered help or greeted . I was in there a good 10 minutes with no assistance from anyone . I was the only customer in store with 3 ladies working there. So the store was not busy , if they were busy with admin surely it could wait till after I was assisted with what I needed from at least one sales assistant. This really left me with a bad taste for future shopping at this store. surely in 2021 we should by now know the basics of customer service.
