I previously used Prompt Roofing and they were excellent, which is why I trusted them again in 2023 to rebuild a flat corrugated metal roof over my daughter’s room. Unfortunately, this second experience turned into a complete fiasco from the very beginning. The project was filled with constant issues — breakages during the work, arguments about components they claimed were not included in the quote, and general poor planning. My view is simple: if you quote to rebuild an entire roof section, you should account for the components required to complete the job properly. Instead, it felt like every step turned into another dispute. The original reason for rebuilding the roof was because the beams had mold, which had also infested the insulation. Yet the team actually wanted to reuse the old moldy insulation. That alone should raise serious concerns about their workmanship and standards. After the job was completed, the problems continued. I had to log a warranty repair because the exterior plaster they app**** was peeling off. Not long after that, the roof started leaking in one corner, causing severe water damage to a wooden built-in cupboard in my daughter’s room. I logged another warranty repair. When Jhonty came out to assess the issue, the experience was frustrating. His first reaction was to argue that the leak was not coming from the section of roof they had worked on. I literally had to take him onto the roof to show him where the problem was. Once he saw it, he then claimed it was hail damage. This makes absolutely no sense. The leak is in a corner underneath roof tiles that overhang the metal roof section. It is extremely unlikely that hail could cause damage in that location. Regardless, Jhonty assured me that he would write it up and that if the insurance claim failed, Prompt Roofing would fix the issue themselves. Those were his words. The insurance company later declined the claim, stating that the roof was not built to regulation. According to their assessment, the roof should have had a 22-degree incline, but the roof Prompt Roofing built is significantly shallower. Because of this incorrect pitch, water is running backward over the back flashing and causing the leak. Now when I try to have Prompt Roofing repair the problem under warranty, they refuse. They claim Jhonty’s report says the damage was caused by hail, which is not covered under the warranty. In other words, they are hiding behind a questionable report instead of taking responsibility for poor workmanship. At this point I am effectively being ghosted by Prompt Roofing. They are refusing to take responsibility for a roof they built incorrectly while it is still under warranty. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Prompt Roofing. They were once good, but my recent experience shows that they will happily take your money and leave you in a worse position than before.
I never intended to write this review as I have always had a positive experience with your company. However, the service I have received this year has been extremely disappointing. After experiencing storm damage, I sent my personal computers to Evetech for an assessment for insurance purposes. I was informed that the process would take up to 4 days, but it took over two weeks for me to receive an update. When the machines were returned, the exteriors of the cases were damaged, and some *****s were missing. After receiving my insurance payout, I placed an order to replace my machines on the 10th of December. However, the order was only processed on the 13th of December, despite my prompt payment. I was promised delivery on the 17th of December, but I was later informed that some parts were no longer in stock, meaning the order could not be delivered as promised. I find this situation extremely frustrating. Since I paid for the full order and all parts were in stock at the time of my payment, I believe the order should have been fulfilled as agreed. The delay in processing my order—four days after payment—has resulted in further inconvenience. To make matters worse, Evetech has now requested that I either remove the out-of-stock items or receive a credit note instead of the missing parts. Given that the delay and out-of-stock items are due to your company's fault, I believe that the missing components should be replaced with the next best available alternatives at no additional cost to me. I expect a fair resolution, with Evetech covering any extra charges for these substitutions. I hope to see this matter addressed promptly and to restore my confidence in your services.
Vodacom failed to debit my account last month. When I called to find out why I was told my payment method has been changed to cash. And when I ask when and by who, no answer could be given to me. I then arranged for the debit order to be rerun on the next business day, and guess what it did not run. Now I'm getting penalized for Vodacom's *****-ups! I tried calling again, but I got a message that I can pay via Internet banking. but again apparently the ref \ account number is incorrect. I tried calling again After being on hold for a lengthy period of time I got put through to an agent, then the agent just proceeds to hang up on me. Again I tried to call again, again being on hold for an extended period of time the agent hangs up on me. There is no way for me to pay my account and Vodacom refuses to debit my account as they have done for the past 15 years! I'm at the end of my rope, and Vodacom blames me!
I've been with vodacom for about 13 years, and had a fairly good experience with them. Until now that is. Apparently Vodacom gives out your personal information to what the call is "promo" companies, what we like to refer to as span callers. And one of these promo companies issued upgrades on numbers on my account with out my knowledge or permission and they expect me to pay for these upgrades. This is absolutely unacceptable. I called client services on the 27th January 2020 to find out what is going on. This is when I was informed that the upgrades was issued by a promo company. After been put on hold multiple times they transferred me to said promo company. And all they said they will have to do a investigation that will take 3 to 5 days. It been over a week and no one contact me regarding this. And I'm being charged for services I did not apply for!
<p>I've got a contract with Chubb. But it is impossible to update my details. Chubb is quick to take your money but there client services is non-existent. I called customer service at 0861 002 211 to update details on my profile, this is very important information that I need to give to Chubb, but they do not care. After I was put on hold twice and transferred 3 times. Got to a very rude lady by the name of Mary. Firstly she answered the phone very rude. She had no phone etiquette. Secondly she sounded out of breath and could not hear a word she was saying. Then after this ordeal I was told I have to send them a mail with my details. I'm sorry this is unacceptable. A mail will not guarantee me that the information was captured correctly and the information is sensitive and I don't feel comfortable putting this information in an email. I hope a representative of Chubb is reading this so Chubb can call me back to fix this. If not Chubb is in breach of their own contact. I'm paying the premiums every month but they refusing me adequate service, and I will be taking the matter further.</p>
<p>I Called ADT in January 2017 to cancel my account, ADT blatently refuesed. And not once have I singed any fixed period contract. So I reversed the debit order. Only after the account went into supposed arrears did someone call me to close the account, this was in March 2017. I was assured the account will be closed and no further debit order will go off my account. We are approuching June 2017 and ADT is still trying to debit my account. I urge anyone who readds this to be carefull when approching ADT. There response time is very slow the client services is non existent and they will fraudulently take your money.</p>
<p>JBC came out on the week of the 7th December 2016 to fix my roof, after they left my roof is in worst condition than it was, they come out numerus times and every time it gets worst. My roof is in such a bad state now, the paint is striped crack and broken ceiling boards, new leaks, water damage all over the house due to these leaks. And I am to this day struggling to get them out to fix all of this, even after having a one on one meeting with one of the managers \ owners. Every time I call them I'm told they under quoted me or my personal favourite reply from them... "It's not my problem". I urge people to be very careful when using JBC.</p>
<p>I've been with ADT for 6 month. They charged me an annual Radio link fee twice during this period, now I've been told I'm being charged for every response when my alarm gets triggered. When I called the call centre to close my account I was put on hold for good while, and I was insulted and they refused to close my account. Not only am I being charge for the responses but the guards takes 40min to an hour to arrive at my house. When it rains they do not come in until it stops raining. The one time the guard did not do a perimeter check until 3 hours after the alarm was triggered. And I have video footage to proof this.</p> <p>These people are worse than the criminals the claim to protect us from!</p>
<p>I got a qoute from Hollard Yesterday the 21 December 2016, The qouted premuim was R911.04 for my car.</p> <p>After accepting the qoute and the new policy is active my premiums went up for no reason, no one event told me that it was going to go up. What is the use of accepting a qoute?!?!</p>
<p>On the 23rd of November I laid a complaint against Miway where they don't cover you for theft but you still pay a hefty premuim. Long story short, now that I need to update my policy I'm told my premuim will increase with over R700.This is after I got a premuim increase over R200 when I told them I do not want to specify an alarm. This is unacceptable. I urge other people not to use Miway they promise you the world and alwys seem nice but you will have endless problems. The are nothing but money grabbing sharks that gives nothing in return. </p>
