I would like to compliment Ayanda Jalela from SANRAL. She was really friendly, provided prompt feedback, and knew exactly what to do regarding my request. As I was new to the process, she assisted me really well and made everything easy to understand. I truly wish more service delivery points were this efficient and pleasant to deal with.
I had the absolute pleasure of being assisted by Tiamo Maroga. I phoned in with only bits and pieces of information, but she was exceptionally well-informed about the product offerings and guided me with patience and clarity. Her professionalism, knowledge, and warm manner made the entire experience effortless and reassuring. It is truly a joy to interact with someone who not only understands their role but also embodies the values of the company they represent. Sadly, I have to agree with Alan. The packaging is very attractive and professional, but the quality doesn't match. My parents bought a few of their emergency lights — they worked well at first but faded over time. I later purchased an 8-pack of their GU10 6W cool white downlights (550 lumens). Initially, I was impressed, especially with the stated 3-year / 25,000-hour warranty. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been my experience. Just 10 months in, and I’m already having to replace lights that were only used for 5–6 hours per night. Very disappointed. I won’t be buying this brand again.
I visited the Highveld Mall branch today in hopes of finding new stock, specifically the Dove gray blinds from Decorland in the 1000mm x 1000mm size. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any new stock and was about to leave the store. However, I was then approached by Renaka, who completely turned my experience around. Not only was she incredibly friendly, but she was also exceptionally helpful. She took the time to assist me by shortening a longer blind, which provided the perfect solution to my problem. Thanks to Renaka's dedication and support, I can now finalize my space without the need to visit other branches or shops. Her outstanding service truly made my day. Renaka, thank you once again for going above and beyond. You've certainly earned a loyal customer for life!
I visited the Highveld Mall branch on the afternoon of 9 July. I thought it would be a quick in and out, given I still had other matters to attend to as well and time was not on my side. I came across an issue in the queue upon checking out and without hesitation, Johannes stepped in to retain me as a customer. Something like that does not go unnoticed, I assure you that goes a long way in maintaining my loyalty towards your company. Thank you for stepping up when the moment required it, I'm sure there was an admin issue somewhere but I didn't have time to resolve it, and I would have walked out of the store. Thank you.
Guys, Please confirm orders before just accepting what you think you heard. I asked what flavour McFlurries was on offer and was offered Caramel or Chocolate. I asked for the chocolate, only to be billed R36 for an Oreo with a chocolate topping. Would have been a treat, but not what I got. Next time I get a high total instead of accepting it politely I will decline to pay and the franchise will explain why they are wasting profit.

I've asked many an individual where something specific resides in the store and I've been greeted mostly with an attitude of "you can really look for it yourself, but ok, isle 10". This was most certainly not the case with Bafana at Pick & Pay Highveld Mall. He saw me wondering about and asked what I was looking for, after which he knew exactly where to find it. I later stumbled upon him again and again he simply replied, "I'm here to help you"... Wow! Just the basics right? Well, I don't compliment someone easily, but you deserve it Bafana.
Tough complaints are never easy to deal with, but with the right attitude and the resilience Rosina showed in managing this complaint we did resolve the issue. I recently suffered with 0.3 MB/s on a stable LTE connection, down from an average of 20-30 MB/s. Upon logging the query I was told that an antenna would have to be installed on the premises. In the time that I’ve had the contract I’ve never had signal issues and thus rejected this as the cause. I followed up daily only to find that no notes were being added and finally spoke to team management. Traffic became the topic of conversation and again this was impossible since this happened over night. Even though I tried my utter best to explain that the issue had to be somewhere else, I was dismissed with a friendly yet superior attitude and wasn’t going anywhere further. Needless to say this left me very despondent. I was transferred back to Thipi Thulare which upon answering immediately gave me contradicting information as to what I just discussed with team management. I was furious! Don’t waste my time! At least pretend to listen then. Poor Thipi kept his cool, not sure how? Thipi, from my side…I think your professional attitude towards the situation and your efforts to retain me as a client was of the highest quality. I congratulate you sir. The signal quality was never the issue, neither was it the traffic…the connection is alive and well again, must have been another technical issue then. Unless all that extra traffic left Telkom? Thx Thipi for keeping your cool, I’ll remain a client for a long time still!
