The padel benefit offered by Discovery Vitality is a farce. Despite registering 10 days ago for this benefit I am still unable to get discounted rates at any of the padel clubs affiliated to Discovery. I logged a call with Discovery and the S.LA. given was 3 to 5 working days. Why do they offer you something they cannot deliver on ?
This looks like an online scam. I placed an order for starter culture from Motherdough on 16 December 2022. The web site says orders are shipped within 3 to 7 working days. As at 30 January 2023 the order has not been fulfilled. Numerous emails were sent and only I got a response to one email on 10 January saying the order will be shipped the next day.
This is the worst bank to deal with. They make your life so difficult. I have banked with ABSA for over 20 years and I have never experienced the bureaucracy on this level. I have financed vehicles through Wesbank although I do not bank with FNB. I did not go through this painstaking process with Wesbank. Your credit score or the fact that you have been a client with Discovery for 15 years and never had any unpaid debit orders means nothing to them.
I was shopping for insurance in the market. I got a great deal at King Price Insurance. The icing on the cake was the courtesy and helpfulness of the consultant I dealt with. He made the whole process easy and seamless.
In November 2019 I was approached by Discovery Bank to migrate my Discovery credit card from the FNB platform to Discovery Bank. I was promised all sorts of things. I was asked to download the banking app and register. Seven months later after more than 5 calls to the call centre, I am still unable to register. A month ago I sent an email to the MD Adrian Gore and got a response to say this will be rectified. This is still in limbo and leaves me utterly astounded. Their technical team are running around in circles and to think they have competent staff to run a bank. Nevertheless I have decided to divest my car and home insurance, medical aid and investments.

I have applied over a month ago for the advertised Telkom ADSL 4mb uncapped deal. Iam still waiting. First there was a problem with the address on the box at the telephone pole. This was apparently resolved. The next excuse is there are no spares. This is something to do with the underground cable line. This can take anything up to 3 months to resolve. You will be lucky if you manage to get connected within 2 months of applying. My advice is to try to get connection from Voxx, Vumatel or CellC fibre or anyone else that offers a prompt service.

MTN resolved a case of identity theft in 1 day for a colleague of mine. It has been 2 months and Vodacom is still to resolve my case of identity theft. The staff are incompetent and their systems are broken. Despite assurances that the issue was resloved I was still debited R 11 700. I am still waiting for a refund. Their internet portal still reflects another R 11 000 debit which due to go off at the begining of April. If you are looking to get a new contract please consider MTN, CellC or Telkom Mobile
