On the 8/1/2026 my son was on his way back home from from cricket when our bakkie just cuts out. I phoned around 09:50 for Roadside assist . At 21:54 I received the message that the Tow service are located. Shortly after that I received the message that they are on their way. They phoned us to find out if we are safe. We mannaged to get the vehicle to start and phoned again to cancel the service. The service provider phoned to find out is it correct and are we safe . This is the service that we need. Thank you for excellent service on the Roadside Assist side!
They keep on sending me smsses and emails for a TV Licence that is outstanding. I never had a TV Licence on my name. I emailed them back so many times and phone them to take my information off the system but every day I receive smsses emails and I also recevied phone calls from them and then they are so rude if I tell them they got the wrong person.!!! PLEASE STOP HARRASING ME!!!!!!
We were with Medshield for many years. We cancelled because we thought that the medical aid we joined were better. But we decided to go back to Medshield on a plan that is more or less the same with better cover. We went through a broker (Tendahouse ) and the lady MEGAN - SHE WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO ASSIST - but my problem is we were quoted one amount and now after submitting documentation from prev medical aids ( we were on medical aid since 2004 )they penalize us with a late joinery fee -to void this they want medical aid proof which was sent to them on numerious occasions. - They query their own cancellation date and I must get the certificate for them for their own scheme. We cannot even contact a supervisior on email. OUR MEDICAL SCHEME HISTORY 01/04/2004 DISCOVERY 1412761714 - THEY WANT A CERTIFICATE DATED THE LAST 30 DAYS - IT WAS ON MY HUSBANDS NAME HOW MUST I GET THE CERTIFICATE AS I DO NOT HAVE POWER OF ATTORNEY TO DO SO AND MY HUSBAND IS ON THE ROAD- I DID PROVIDE THEM WITH THE CERTIFCATE 01/11/2011-17/12/2015 MEDIHELP- NO QUERIES - CERTIFICATE WAS SEND TO MEDSHIELD 01/01/2016-31/12/2024 MEDSHIELD MEDIPLUS PRIME - CHANGE PLANS ON 1/1/2025 01/01/2025 -28/2/2025 MEDSHIELD MEDI PLUS COMPACT - THEY SEND ME A CERTIFICATE WITH CANCELLATION DATE 31/3/2025 BUT QUESTION ME ON THAT????? 01/04/2025-30/9/2025 DISCOVERY ESSENTIAL SAVER/CLASSIC SMART. CERTIFICATES SEND TO MEDSHIELD -NOW THEY QUERY THE CERTIFICATES BECAUSE IT NOT DATED THE LAST 30 DAYS???
If I could give no stars I would. Sanlam service is pathetic. They promise the moon and the stars and all you get is......... We are 3 adults in our household with Sanlam policies. We went through a difficult financial time and Sanlam agreed to Payment relief which we appreciate. We signed new debit order forms and they keep on take off the wrong amounts instead of R3900 they deducted R22 000 - we must pay the bank charges/ we must pay the overdraft fee as we do not have an overdraft on our account . They do not take debit orders in concideration you have to send the proof that they took the debit order off. They deduct the money. Everytime you speak to the call centre it is different stories and then the stories to the broker is alwas different. If you send them the emails back then it always someone elses fault. What is going to happen if there is a claim??? I regret leaving Different life underwritten by Mutual for Sanlam !!!!!! ANd if it was their fault they will not appologise.
My STD bank Credit card was handed over to them in July- I did contact them and make arrangements. I do keep my promise that the account will be paid end of each month I did make a payment end of July. I asked them so many times not to phone me rather send an email as Im working in an openplan office and cannot just go out take the call. However it is so bad now that I have to put my phone on silent mode because I received calls from them not once or twice a day but sometimes up to 6 calls . I`m going to get into trouble and then Im without work. Who is going to pay my accounts then? I do understand that they will phone you if you do not pay - but why are you phoning everyday and 5x times. Nothing will change in a day. I asked for banking details but they said I must pay directly to Standard bank but my card is blocked and I cannot add it- I cannot go to a branch and now it is costly to phone the bank to make internal transfers.
We had a breakdown on the 28/7/2025 and we pressed our button for Roadside Assist. It was 45 minutes in total from the phone call `till the towing services arrived with the flat bed. Thank you guys
MEDSHIELD SERVICE: We cannot complain about service as there are no service. We did not receive our tax certificate and it opens on the 7th of July - Some of the other medical aid clients received their paperwork. I phoned and what do they tell me -" you will receive it somewhere in June or July we are not sure" Sars Audits begin on the 1/7/2025 ! Pateties.
They requested me to pay my VAT and Duty fee on the 2/5/2025 which I did. I first tried my Credit Card and the message said that I must try another payment method as there is a problem paying by credit card. I used my bank account and after I approved the payment it went through on my credit card. I tried to contact the offices without success. I also send an email with the proof of payment for both payments. I tried Monday and the whole of this morning to get hold of them without success.
We received good service from them when my father-in-law passed away in June 2024. They treated him and our family with respect and dignity. They fetched him from the hospital. They even asked us if it is ok if they came out with him and walked passed us. The staff allowed my mother-in-law and sisters - in -law to sit with him the day before the service. I will recomend them with a smile
