Very disappointed that the owner and manager herself recommended IPL for numerous times, amounting to hundreds of Rands wasted, on two dark spots on the bridge of my nose which she "diagnosed" as sun damage and said would break up and disappear with IPL, knowing full well that they were NOT what she said they were. A dermatologist luckily diagnosed them quickly enough to be caught in time: pre-cancerous spots! I had them frozen off and they did not come back. My dermatologist said she was furious at these so-called beauty salons that tricked clients into having useless procedures when the issues could hacel serious consequences without the proper treatment. Shocking....it's all about money for these posh, snooty places. Another bone of contention is the eyelash and eyebrow dye used - it was heavily diluted and the effect lasted less than a month ......now I buy German products from a health and beauty Store and my eyelashes and brows look and stay pitch black for three months! Will never recommend this place and have dissuaded friends from going there. Never again!
Horrible quality ring....was very happy with it's appearance at first but as with the company owner, appearances are deceiving. Inferior quality and exorbitant price for a ring that broke in half 4 months after I purchased it. Luckily I caught both pieces and a PROPER jeweller fixed it for me - they confirmed that this type of ring was supposed to be manufactured from one piece of metal, moulded to a circle where the two ends "overlap" (ie do not join but nestle side by side) yet the professional, proper jeweller said that TWO pieces of metal had been soldered together thus the weak spot and breakage. Yet more hundreds of Rands spent to fix it. The woman in charge is exceedingly abrasive and unlikeable. She sends 5 messages in one minute, demanding ring size, saying the lighting then myethod of measuring my size is incorrect and on and on and on. She herself admitted many potential people blocked her due to her ways and I have friends who know of her and say she is awful to deal with. She sent such awful messages when I thought I had lost the ring two days after I got it (found safely at home) ie the universe was telling me messages and I wasn't listening, that I had asked for all the horrible things in life that had happened to me (and these are the NICEST things she said, I cannot repeat the voice notes and other evil horrible things she spouted!). The messages were so disturbing that I eventually blocked her on WhatsApp and reported her. Am also pursuing a case with an ombudsman because people like this should NOT be dealing with human beings....rather sit behind a cold, unfeeling computer and don't interact with the world or produce inferior products and fob them off onto people as good quality jewellery!

I would like to write a review about MiWay Insurance and their outstanding help for what should have been a simple issue but was turned sour by the towing company a few days ago. I was frustrated and disappointed with the towing company but Miway was there every step of the way to help sort out the issues. I am grateful that the issues are all sorted. All the telephone operators and the duty manager I spoke to thrice, Michael Yeni, were very calm, attentive and helpful. I am appreciative and thankful for this high level of service! In a short space of time, these 4 amazing people have become like family to me. Nothing is too much trouble, they work amazingly well as a team and their work ethic is impeccable. They handle huge amounts of parcels, emails, copies etc daily, all with a smile on their faces and still have time to banter and multitask like pros. They know my circumstances and they are very kind and patient. I really appreciate them. Keep it up, all of you!
The owner of this store lost my purse (a R1300 Fossil purse) because his store is so messy and overcrowded. I handed it in late last December and received reply to my WhatsApp saying it was ready for collection on the 31st but received it too late in the afternoon to go through. So I said "see you on the 3rd". When I went in he told me he couldn't find the purse! He swore it had been fixed and delivered to him and he had put it behind his counter. I sat around for 20 minutes while he searched to no avail. I sent a text later in the day asking if he had found it and he said he would look for it the next day. I duly came in the next day and he started getting agitated asking me what I wanted from him. Well, my purse of course! How can you lose a purse unless it was stolen from the store or as many others have suggested to me, the price value of the purse was seen and was taken advantage of. Still leaving me with no purse. He started getting violent and agitated, throwing shoes and boxes into other shoes and boxes on display next to where I was sitting, insulting my friends and myself and my character. I asked why HE was getting upset when it was ME who was on the losing end! He went to his car and got a bag with thousands of Rands in it and counted out R1300 and threw it at me and told me to get out and not to come back.
The Retreat division of this car company did not follow correct procedure when it came to diagnosing my aircon issues with my car in November 2020. I was later told by a few people that they should first have done a dye/leak test to see if there were any issues there but all they did was re-gas my aircon and charged me R650 for this "privilege"! The various other companies and mechanics I spoke to said this was exorbitant and I was left feeling rippped-off. I will not endorse this company at all. Luckily I found a great company close to where I live that explained everything to me should I have issues in the future. While it was just a re-gas I needed and thus my issue was solved, Musical Cars should have followed the steps other mechanics and air con shops take. I am disappointed and frustrated. Never again.

All of the staff went well above and beyond the call of duty. They are friendly, cheerful and genuinely caring. I would recommend this hotel highly and hope that it's parents company, Accor Hotels, gives the staff the recognition they so wonderfully deserve.
