It's sad to do this as I have been a loyal supporter since their start, but of late their service has been terrible. It's now the second time in a row I have paid for a garrantee on delivery time and they on this order are 2 days late, no notification of why not any updates I had to call 8 times only to find out that what they said was in stock was not so now I'm inconvenienced and am really disappointed with them. The first order was late by a funny 24 hours this second one seems to be going for 3 times that amount in time being late. This is useless and it does not help calling then as it does nothing to help.
The worst place I have ever been to. Was told by the owners they don't like me because I'm white, they then spread rumours about my company and it has come to me having to move due to such a toxic environment. They are extremely racist and will lie to no end to get to what they want out of you. Their pricing is abserd and they don't fix anything or maintain the units stay away.
This started a while back, I was busy with my company and had very little time to waist, I wanted to move my debit order to the 7th as I had my clients paying me on the 7th so I called in. I was told that this was not possible and that this is not a issue what they could do was if I paid on the 7th immediately then they would have no issue. So I did this for 6 months and then on the 7th I receive a shocking mail saying they have terminated my domain hosting due to payment issues, I then called in and was quite upset and after 5 days they apologized especially after I showed them the emails from there own staff telling me the incorrect information however I did have to go threw allot of paperwork fill in this and that and the time cost me money, however I was up again. I then moved my debit order onto my main bank account to make sure that there would never again be an issue. After 2 month of the debit coming off my main bank account I try and log on with no luck, this time they didn't even send a email they just terminated my account. This was 4 weeks ago I have been fighting now with them to release my information and my data so I can move the domains over to a better service provider and all they are doing is messing me around, I am attaching the correspondence to this so you may see how terrible Afrihost treats there clients and how poor there service is, this is all due to there billing issue as on the day they never received payment my main account had well over what was owed and have the proof to show them as well which I did and they apologized and yet 4 weeks now and I still am loosing money as my email my sites and my data are being held by Afrihost who is making it impossible to get it.
They have taken over $2000 usd from be and I have got nothing they then said that I would get the money back, I have yet to recieve a cent back and they limited my account so I cant even continue my project at all so they stole from me and in return I got nothing.
After calling them to find out why my next day delivery which I was charged full price for had not come they then tried to blame my bank for not paying so I called the bank and sure enough the payment and notification had gone threw on the exact day I payed. So I called again this time they appologiesed and said that it was there email system and it was there fault and that my package would arrive on monday and cant get it to me earlier because the service provider they use does not deliver on weekends. below is a snippit from there service providers website ! " Value Added Services BEX offers additional value added service options to meet our customers varied requirements. Saturday Services BEX is able to collect and/or deliver shipments on a Saturday. A surcharge will apply for collection and delivery on a Saturday between 08h00 and 12h00. The surcharge will also apply for attempted deliveries.This service is available to certain major centres in South africa serviced by scheduled airlines. Saturday delivery to regional or remote areas is available on request and is quoted separately. (Saturday service is not available to Normal and Budget cargo services). Special Trip A BEX driver is on standby 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to undertake that special journey e.g. A tender submission or VAT return. Rates are quoted on a kilometre, per hour and surcharge basis. After Hours Service A surcharge will apply for collection or delivery between the following times. 18h00 - 08h00 (monday to Saturday) 12h00 Saturday - 08h00 Monday. After hours service is not applicable to Normal Cargo and Budget Cargo services. " So this too was a lie they didnt want to pay extra for there mistake! Then I asked them to please either refund me or make sure that the goods at least arrived the next day. They have refused to repay me and the goods still have not arrived. They lie and they cheat you do not buy from this online con artist as they will rip you off!
<p>After being with them for a while I decided to get a new bussiness domain which they advertised for a price, so i went for it after a week or so I was told it would cost 42000 bucks so I told them not to do it but istead please organise me a different cheaper one, so they did however there was a amount of 1300 +- which I had already paid for the previous one and was told that I would be credited for that which never happened and now they threttening to cut me for not paying them again. this is all on email and I have been fighting with them for over a month now. they have no customer satisfaction and act like they are doing you a favour I could go into how much of a rip off there design team is as you end up doing all the work yourself and they charge you for giving you a template which you then need to work on. there service is shocking and they never bother to answer your emails untill a week or two have passed </p>
