One would assume when using a moving company that the agreed pick up and drop off dates are part of the service. One week later the truck arrived. The packing of the plasma TV that I was quoted separately for didn't happen. Hein still had the audacity to send me the outstanding amount without the deposit deduction, and then threatened to keep my furniture in his depot if payment wasn't received by the close of business that day he deemed fit to reply to my request for a delivery date. Poor poor poor service. Hides behind his secretary when the customer needs answers.
Rented a unit at Celebrations Retirement Estate Northumberland Road. Rentals handled by C.S.I. I paid a deposit, sales lady took photos of the unit on entry, I moved in end of 2020. First sign of trouble was theft. This a warning from not 1 but 2 removal companies I used when I moved out. One had been paid for furniture bought from a tenant, and upon collection, furniture was found in the carer's possession. Carers supplied by company La Vie Frailcare, situated onsite. Laundry lady came in and out weekly, taking with her with more than washing, my watch, food items, cutlery - all small items easily hidden in washing baskets. When my visitor arrived, security knew what I was moving out and what was for sale. I was offered R2000 for a TV I didn't want to sell, yet it that was dropped whilst I was in hospital prior to transferring to another retirement estate. Yet everyone denying where and whom had access to the room yet the key was kept under lock at the frailcare unit. No one takes responsibility here. Management agreed that certain individuals were under observation, yet no recourse. The deposit. A damage repair report done by Gelby Inspections, quotes done by Eagle Projects. They were creative, one quote included spraying for mosquitoes: cost R120.00 The total in damages came to R3 350.00 to name a few: removing all hooks on all the cupboards, paint marks on the windows, a cracked ceiling light, replacing a foam strip on the front door and a complete list of ridiculous items - if one wanted to restore the unit in it's entirety under the heading 'General wear and tear' and deduct it from my deposit. I contested these quotes, sent my son-in-law to do the work, and was still charged R1040.00 for a cleaning bill without a quote nor an invoice to prove it was done by a professional, which Cheryl De Lange claims. The owner's domestic was there the same day as my son-in-law. Lies after lies. Astounding. I lost my valuables, my health and my money, my security. Management are on a mission to keep the deposit and their response to my emails borders on the insidious. Someone should do something, when a loved one in ill-health and in need of daily care, the whole experience for me, an elderly disabled retiree, I should not have had to endure this abuse.
Ordering stylish and or personalized beach towels / hand towels etc and yoga mats is a pleasure from this company. They deliver in their stated turnaround time, and have personal contact if there is any issue with back orders. Up there with my favorite online companies I use.

It is with regret that I inform you of the disturbing experience I suffered at the Hillcrest Hospital branch of Jackpersad on Friday. Dr Colin Wolpe my neurologist referred me for the M.R.I scan see attachment.

I arrived and waited in the rooms and was shown to the procedure area and told to that the cost would be R2000 for my account and that my medical aid would cover the R11000.
I had no problem with that.

Plugs were placed into my ears and I got into the machine. The lady advised me to keep stock still for the 20 minutes it would take. I struggled to place myself into the correct position and the lady said that if I couldn't "Get this part right" the scan would be cancelled and rescheduled. I was concerned that my medical aid would not cover a second attempt so I obeyed instruction. The head gear was put into place and the scan began.

To my horror the earplug had become dislodged and I was struck with the most disturbing racket for the next 20 minutes which was unbearable, yet I kept still and endured.

The lady stuck up a conversation with her colleague and I was left to suffer in silence.

Upon leaving I was so shattered, my back aching, and my wife collected me in tears. I've taken pain****ers and am still recovering from this ordeal.
