Please can they refrain from calling me!!! I do not need or require their services and would not like to make use of them either. And how do they get my details anyway? Doesn't the POPIA fall in place?
I reside in Johannesburg and needed to attend a funeral service in Queenstown, my plan was to drive down on Monday 02/03/2026 and stay the evening as the funeral was the following morning of the 03/03/2026 at 11h00. As I knew the funeral was going to end rather late, I booked for that evening as well. In total of the two nights. I made contact with the Queens Hotel & Casino on the 23rd of Feb. and made a reservation for the two nights. From the start of the telephone call when reserving a room, I explicitly asked whether they accept AMEX (American Express credit cards) as a method of payment. I always try and use this card for flights and accommodation. I was assured that they accept AMEX cards as payment. So, I eventually arrive on the Monday 2nd of Feb. and low and behold, on my third attempt, the lady at the reception counter says "Ooh, sorry but we don't accept AMEX cards. That's when I lost my cool, firstly trying my card on the second attempt, the card machine stated, "last attempt". I know my PIN number and knew something was wrong and that's when the receptionist said they don't accept. Why was I told they do accept AMEX, just to confirm the booking and obviously I'm there now and had to make payment with another card. I know it sounds ridiculous as I had to pay anyway but why was I told YES, they accept?
I find that the accounts department at Vodacom absolutely disgusting. I have a business account with them and over the last few months have received an enormous increase in our accounts, from Nov. '24 till Oct. '25, an increase of R42 600.00. We do not receive statements which is in fact ******* with regards to the VAT act as the by law, the service provider should provide a statement within 21 days to the purchaser. No one returns calls or emails.
I seriously think Megamaster should upgrade their Quality Control Manager. I purchased a Megamaster gas braai on Saturday, it was in fact an engagement present for my daughter who got engaged on Saturday. I bought the braai, went home and immediately stated to assemble the product. I was so close to finishing and then noticed that they had packed to of the same items which caused me not to finish. I then proceeded to the engagement venue empty handed. I then made contact with Makro from whom I had bought it and was told that they would take it back but I had to return it in the same condition and had to disassemble it and place the contents in the box. Now you can imagine how angry I was. I was then informed by Makro that it wasn't the first time this was reported to them with the exact same packing fault. I was not a happy customer and sincerely hope that Megamaster looks into this!
Just had such an awesome experience with ABSA Bank, Campus Square. From the time I walked in, I was greeted by a lady at an Inquiry desk, told her what I needed, she kindly directed me to the "Customer Services" counter. I then sat with a gentleman, Raymond Mntumni and he was great, helpful and friendly and instructed me exactly what to do with my account which would be most beneficial to me. Thank you ever so much Raymond.
I bought an Xramp Motorcycle Paddock-stand for my KTM SuperDuke but unfortunately it wasn't working for the bike as it was not holding it up. I then got hold of Bikers Warehouse where I had purchased it from and they were ever so helpful and had Xramp call me. I then had Martin from Xramp call me and advised that I required another piece, I needed the Slider in which the Paddock-stand is mounted in. I then asked Martin how much for the Slider and he assured me that there were no costs and that he would deliver the Slider personally. Can you imagine, first he doesn't want me to pay for it which I would say it should cost way more than R4000 and then secondly that he was going to deliver it, free of charge and give me a demonstration on hoe to use it. Where in the world especially in South Africa does one get treated like this. I own my own business, a Funeral Home actually and I know how important "Personal service" and "After sales service" is, but this was way beyond my expectations, and I am truly grateful. Martin, you're a "Man among Men" and wish you and your team all the best with your future ventures and hope your company strives.
Very helpful staff, excellent service and extremely friendly
My vehicle broke down yesterday, Sunday 23/03/2025 on the R510 about 40 minutes outside Rustenburg in the North West. I had to contact my vehicle insurance company which in return got hold of Fearless Towing Services in Rustenburg to collect my vehicle. The tow truck driver, Thabi was so efficient, friendly and polite and would not leave us stranded in the middle of nowhere until another vehicle arrived to tow my caravan back to Joburg. Thabi kept in contact and sent me pictures during this whole process. Many thanks to Thabi and Fearless Towing Services, keep up the good work guys.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Auto & General Roadside Assistance. Yesterday, Sunday 23/03/2025 and about half an hour into our trip home to Joburg from Manyane resort in the Pilanesberg on the R510 and about 40 minutes before Rustenburg, my vehicle packed up while towing my caravan. I immediately called my broker, Sagren from Auto & General who then forwarded me the Roadside Assistance number and my policy number. They then called a tow truck company in Rustenburg to come and collect my pick-up truck. I found that the Roadside Assistance Services extremely efficient and ever so helpful, from the call centre through to all the towing arrangements. A HUGE thank you to you all.
Can you believe this, absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. So we are all aware that SANRAL has been on all major news channels that as of December 2024 they will no longer accept cash. Well let me tell you that's an absolute lie, I am currently driving down to KZN and the first two tollgates won't accept my garage card and they tell me that the system is currently upgrading so, I have to pay cash. People, don't get caught if you have planned a holiday down at the coast for the festive season, make sure you carry cash. I didn't even try my debit card as I was fuming.
