I have been battling with Ram since Monday, I received a message on Monday to let me know my parcel was handed over to them by Vodacom, I Immediately phoned to let them know not to deliver on Tuesday as I am not available and was told a note will be left on the system for them by the agent, to my surprise they tried to deliver on Tuesday and it was returned, I then phoned again and was told they will reschedule for Friday delivery, this morning, Wednesday I receive a message to say it is out for delivery, I have tried the whole day to get hold of them to no avail, I just want to find out what time the driver will arrive, and if this now gets marked as undeliverable again, this parcel will be sent back to Vodacom and I will be liable for payment, but RAM does not assist in any way, when I contact them on WhatsApp I get cut off halfway through my chat, the call centre says they cannot contact the driver or hub????? the hub does not answer their phone, so what am I to do??? as clearly you can't reach anyone actually dealing with the parcel or driver, and the so called notes made does not get read or followed by anyone.
Parcel was booked on friday 18 july for collection, was told collection will be monday 21 july, which never happend, then i went to search the tracking number and to my surprise it states that it was collected, i phoned newcastle depot which is the depot that has to collect andwas told it was a scanning error and they will collect now today 24 july, they have still not arrived to collect, so i contacted the depot again, to be told the parcel is on route to goerge, but i am sitting with the parcel and it was never collected, this is very poor service, the parcel was never collected but apparently it is on route, i ha e a client breathing down my neck as it has tak3n a week already and the parcel has not even been collected by the courier.
so after a 7 week fight with Vodacom, that I still not feel like has been resolved, but that is a different story. My parcel gets handed to RAM couriers for delivery at 8h06 this morning I receive a message to say that my parcel K4892726 is out for delivery, at 12h23 I contact RAM Harrismith on 0586232146 to confirm that my parcel is out for delivery and it was confirmed that it is out for delivery and I was given the drivers number 0664865813, I contacted the driver at 12h25 to confirm delivery and was promised by the driver that he will be by me shortly, by 15h04 I try to contact him again and he does not answer, at 15h36 I try to phone him again and he presses the call dead, so I try again and he does not answer, so at 15h37 I phone him again and he answers, I try to find out where he is and he tell me he will be with me in 15min with delivery, at 15h47 he phones me back to tell me does not have my parcel it is still at the hub in Harrismith, so after a whole day of backwards and forwards with the HUB and driver confirming my parcel is out for delivery and a confirmation message at 08h06 saying it is out for delivery, now suddenly my parcel is not on the van. So I try to phone the Harrismith at 15h47 about 7 times to no answer, I then proceed to phone RAM customer care on 0861726726 and speak to Andile that places me on hold for 6 minutes and then tell me she spoke to hub and my parcel is there and not out for delivery, I then ask her why did the hub and driver and SMS confirm that my parcel will be delivered, to which I receive the answer it must have been a system error, so the driver and hub is now a system as well. I am highly upset with my experience and the lack of care or customer service that was given by RAM and Vodacom. And at the end of it all to receive the "system error" excuse that has become the excuse for everything in South Africa if people can't do there job is highly frustrating, and to add insult to injury I have to pay for this service!!!!!! so lets see what the excuse tomorrow is going to be, and now they will probably take another week to deliver, because now it is weekend.......
So after 6 weeks of fighting backwards and forwards on almost a daily basis, I get told on friday the 13th that i have to change my order as there is no stock on the item I ordered online and theyvwont be getting stock, but the item is still on the website beign sold, this beign the asus tuf gaming laptop. I then get told I have to choose another device, I go through a list of 4 different laptops advertised online and get told each one is out of stock, so ended up changing my order to something I did not really want, but had no choice, so today I go and check on the status of my new order on my profile 5-36153651326223, and to my suprise, the asus is still on my profile and i cant find the new order 5-36153651326223 anywhere, even tobi says there is no such order number. What is going on Vodacom??? It does not help to phone and ask for assistance as the staff is rude and dont care, so complaining in Hellopeter seems to be the only tume you avtually get some feedback, and even after that Vodacom can't get it right, an item ordered on the 1st of may has stull not been ordered and there fix is change to what we want to give you and then still they cant get it right. DISGUSTED IN THE SERVICE! is an understatement, i have been a loyal customer for 24 years with 3 contracts and this is what Vodacom calls service.
Did an upgrade online for my laptop on 1 may 2025, it is now 11 june 2025 and to date i have not recieved my upgrade, everytime i phone i get told there is no stock and must wait. 6 weeks and vodacom cant get stock, but still keep on selling the same item online and keep on placing ads all over facebook etc for the same item but have no stock, I hqve been a loyal customer to vodacom for 24 years on contract and this has been the worst experience i have ever had with vodacom, the staff is extremely rude and simply dont care when you call in on 08217844, they cannot tell you whn they will have stock or anything, was told this morning that there will also not be stock for the next 2 weeks at least, so 2 months to get a laptop, are you telling me that vodacom cant order stock in 8 weeks, they simply dont care, but be 1 min late with your payment and you are handed over and your line gets disconnected. Why does a person always hav to complain to get help.
Our documents has been with Bonitas for over week to get auth for my mom to go in for spinal surgery on Monday the 21st I have every day following up as this weekend is easter and moms surgery is scheduled for easter Monday, I was no told today that the dr's have not even looked at the documents yet and only have tomorrow to get this auth now, this is every time we need to get auth for something that we have to fight with them first to get it. it is already a stressful time knowing someone is going in for major surgery and Bonitas just makes it worse by having everyone stress and have to fight to get auth minutes before surgery, Please could this be sorted.
Placed a order with a company that uses fastway, my parcel was supposed to be delivered yesterday 28/3, went on at about 9h30 to track and saw that my parcel was left behind in Newcastle, i contacted them on their WhatsApp and asked to speak to an agent, the agent then confirmed that she spoke to them and it will be delivered today 29/3. I have the screenshots of the conversation. Suprise surprise today nothing hapoend and you cannot get hold of fastway as they only work office hours mondays to friday.... So how can you then confirm delivery????? Beware of anything coming through fastway and beware of there false promises. It is not the first time that this has happend with them and when i order with a company that uses fastway the dread already sets in as i know the company will deliver in time to fastway, but after that it is a mess to get your parcel from fastway.
So our area has been stuck with no signal on vodacom network since the 18th of March it is now the 24th of march. I have submitted a complaint on the 19th had to drive 30km to get signal to make the call, then I got an sms to say they can't reach me to escalate the matter, of course you won't be able to reach me we don't have signal. To date the whole town and multiple businesses are sitting without phones, internet, access to banking etc due to Vodacom. And there has not been a single piece on feedback from Vodacom.
We have been siting without connection since 8pm last night the 22nd and i have tried multiple times to log a ticket to only be told i have a open ticket which i dont, tried to phone and just get put on hold for 45min without reaching a consultant,
We have been without signal for more than 24 hours, we stay on a farm and we now have no means of communication as our wifi is also with vodacom, we can't access our cameras for safety and we cannot even arm our alarms or fences due to this, contacted vodacom and was given reference 5-36135341127107 and told we have to wait 72hours for feedback, it is not just us, it is the whole town and surrounding areas, but suppose we are a small town so they don't care.
