Do not buy their geysers. Lasted less than a year, and they refusing to provide warranty as geyser was removed. Was i supposed to bath in cold water while i waited two weeks for them to come????
Warning to landlords. Citiq is holding our funds for a year already. I have called 4 times to change bank details in 4 months, its either that they are not competent, or dont want to.
I had previously given them 5 starts on the sale of a vehicle. However, the service department is a horror movie. We have various vehicles that get serviced there. - Its really hard to get someone on a call or speak to someone regarding your vehicle. - Its even difficult to book a vehicle in. - They are overcharging on services. A service that takes 3 hours they bill 6 hours and say thats the tariff according to their system. If it had to take more hours youd definitely be billed more. - They hardly have stock of parts of even common vehicles like a Hyundai Staria. You have to wait weeks or months for a part under warranty. - They have gone from doing Merc, Jeep and Misibushi but now have Kia and Hyundai too with less staff. Penny pinching on service and parts stock. We have 2 hyundai starias and both had the same issue they blamed the diesel quality and are making us pay!!!!! We filled diesel at only our Caltex and Engen fuel stations
Terrible service, misrepresentation, refusing to refund, arrogant attitudes, etc, from Cashing up auctions and High Select auto. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this company. We has purchased a Mahinda Bukky from Cash Up Auctions, but not on auction. We purchased the vehicle and it was funded through Wesbank, though their other company, High Select Auto. On inspecting the vehicle, but it had not started and they advised the starter was being fixed. When collecting the vehicle, the first issues started. The vehicle refused to start, and we refused to take delivery as it would not start and it seems like the vehicle was falling apart. Candice, the manageress, wanted my drivers to sign an auction agreement, which was not the case as we had not purchased in on auction. This was a red flag. She had also wanted me to purchase an extended warranty prior, to which I advised I do not want an extended warranty for a vehicle with such low mileage. I had immediately sent an email to both high select auto and cashing up auctions advising that we do not wish to proceed with the sale. The vehicle was truely in a bad state for under 100 000kms and there was no service history to prove that this was the true mileage. Candice advised it would not be cancelled. She had a terrible attitude on the phone as well. I immediately posted the experience i had on hellopeter and google reviews, to which the owner of high select auto had called. He said he would find a solution, and asked if I would please remove the reviews. I did so in good faith. He later phoned and said they would accept a 7k “cancellation fee”. I had considered initially. When I looked at the pictures when the first was first seen and when trying to collect, I had realized the door panels were stripped and seemed not to be put back decently, and hence it seemed like the vehicle had other work done it that I was not aware of, I didn’t agree to the cancellation and proceeded back with the reviews on google and hellopeter. I had received letters from their attorneys advising they would sue me for deformation, for which I had advised I was not afraid I would defend it legally. They didn’t proceed - probably because they knew the situation wasn’t worth a loosing cause. The owner Waseem Fareed at one point told me I will see - this deal can only be cancelled if he wants it to. He learnt a nice lesson that his arrogant ways and attitude doesn’t always win. He lectured me about religion too previously, but he was the one wanting to make a free 7k “cancellation fee” from selling a broken vehicle. I hope he has come to the realization that his self righteous beliefs are delusional. It seems from their reviews that he should be the one retrospectively looking into his own religious morality. I had complained to Wesbank that I didn’t take delivery of the vehicle and I will not be paying their debit orders. The deal should be cancelled. Wesbank had taken two months and I had sent back both debit orders. Wesbank requested one last meeting to try and resolve and see the vehicle again, almost two months later. I was reluctant to agree, but did so anyway. When we met at Cash up auction/high select auto in Midrand, for which I had to make a 420 km round trip to get there, I started the vehicle and the speedometer was jumping. The head rest was missing too, and the panels were put back in a way, but still seemed half shot. I asked the representative from Wesbank if this was an acceptable vehicle that I would be paying for the next 72 months. He didn’t have an answer. I told him I will not be happy to proceed. Waseem was in one corner snaring that i wasted his time, and that if I wanted a quality vehicle I should’ve bought a Toyota Hilux. Imagine trying to justify selling a vehicle with issues this way. Before he walked off, he said again that I would not get the vehicle deal cancelled. I left back for home. I had emailed them a number of times since then requesting a roadworthy certificate, as I would’ve liked to query with the road licensing office that issued it, how it was done considering the speedometer wasn’t working. As one could’ve guessed, it was never sent. Some time later, Wesbank confirmed they would cancel the deal, but were awaiting payout from the dealer. High select auto/cash up auctions had emailed hellopeter complaining that my review was not factually correct, to which I had emailed the correspondence to prove it. They sent an email a few months later advising that my review had not been within their guidelines due to certain wording, and hence removed it. I asked if I could redo it with only the facts and no allegations, to which they rep**** yes, and here we are. I also complained to hellopeter that it seemed like they had generic reviews been done by friends, family or random people, to which hellopeter advised they could not address. I’ve actually seen employees and the owner like or rate their own business on google reviews. To this date I have seen many other reviewers encounter similar experiences. Others had also been threatened with legal deformation summons and asked to pay cancellation fees. I still get likes on my google review pop up now and then.
I gave this company a negative review end of March. Since then it seems like they have added a lot of generic reviews to boost their score and their page. This is clearly not real reviews. All of the people that reviewed gave generic stories and have only ever had one review. Clearly they have asked people to review their page. On google reviews the owners, staff and it seems like staff friends/family have given the place good reviews, which is an unclear indication of the values of this business, its personnel and owners. There was a person on google reviews that is claiming the same story as i am.
I purchased a 2018 Mahindra Bolero with 55 000 kms from cashing up auction, financed by High Select Auto. When wanting to first inspect the vehicle, it was unavailable due to being in repairs. When inspected the second time every thing looked decent and we went ahead with the purchase. It couldn’t start as the manager Candice advised they were sorting out the starter. On collection of the vehicle, the door panels and window handles had been falling apart as if they had been stripped and not put together properly. The vehicle also didn’t start. All the red flags. On advising the manager Candice, she said the vehicle “needs to be started in a certain way”. She also tried tricks by making my driver sign documents advising that the vehicle has been purchased on “auction conditions”. These documents were not presented before to myself and we didn’t agree with Cash Up Auction to buy a vehicle under auction conditions. These are= unethical business practices clearly. I didn’t take delivery of the vehicle and advised them I wanted to cancel. Candice advised I can’t as I purchased it under auction conditions. As stated above that was not the case. Before taking the vehicle Candice also advised that I HAD TO buy an extended warranty. This was probably due to them knowing they are selling a vehicle with issues. I had refused the warranty as a 2018 vehicle with such low mileage surely doesn’t need an extended warranty package at this point. The manager/director called me from high select auto “trying to assist to resolve it”. The invoice of the vehicle was from high select auto so technically they sold me the vehicle. He also asked me to remove my first hellopeter post as he was “resolving the matter”. I had offered to pay a 5k cancellation fee, which he advised he would consider and revert. I then realized from the pictures that the vehicle doors were intact when first inspected compared to when collected. I then realized that I was being duped as they had stripped the vehicle. By then they had advised they want a 7k cancellation fee, which I had refused considering the nature of the vehicle had changed and it wasn’t even starting. The manager Candice has a terrible attitude. It goes to say those like her are usually the best at tricking people into buying junk. I WOULD STEER CLEAR OF DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY
<div>It is possible that these companies could be turning back the clock or selling accident damaged vehicles. When it screams bad practices, I would advise people to rather buy a vehicle from a reputable dealership. The manager Candice has a terrible attitude. It goes to say those like her are usually the best at tricking people into buying junk.</div>
Cash Up Auctions advertises on Autotrader. No where on the adverts do they say you are purchasing these vehicles under auction conditions. . This company is selling broken cars and most likely turning the mileage back. They dont say in their Once you have finance, they want your drivers to sign these "auction" documents. This is a legal ploy to remove themselves from liability. I just purchased a vehicle, not on auction, that didn't start, and now they are saying the deal cannot be cancelled. Under the consumer protection act it can, as I didn't purchase through an auction. I wish to warn the public of doing business under these conditions. These use a private reputable company to do their finance. They will most likely not want to refund the money.

Despite this place loosing its standard, its now a crime hot spot. Was almost robbed yesterday and apparently its happening often. 4 guys rushed towards me walking back from the convenience store and i ran towards the forecourt. They tried to open my door and then fled and ran away, driving in their car calmly away. Asked the cashier for the managers number she said she is off duty and i cant do anything. Will never visit this place again even though i live nearby. I suggest other people stay away unless you want to loose your cellphone, money, cards and belongings.
