We wanted to get an electonic travel authorization to allow someone with an EU passport to visit the UK. Google placed iVisa, a bunch of ****mers, above the official UK website. We paid R2100 for a service that the UK official website would have charged R400 for.
This Company charges about R2100 compared to the UK government (R400) for an electronic travel authorization required for EU citizens to visit the UK. Google places then above the UK Government Website so one can visit their site by accident. ****mers.
Telephone number 011 922 9200 keeps cutting off after ringing for five minutes. Tried about 7 times.
Have bought two distributors for conquests from OnlineCarParts.co.za. There was a problem with the second but I returned it using Aramex (dropped off at PicknPay where I paid about R100 for the courier envelope) and Osman kindly replaced the faulty one. Great service.
We paid for the "premium service package" and made it clear that we wanted window seats for the two legs of my daughter's flight back from the USA as she had been ill and needed to rest. For that reason we paid R34 000 for a one way ticked because it had two night time flights and a shorter break in London (8 hours) than the 19 hours of the Qatar Airlines which cost about R15 000 less. We were told by the travelbar on 19 Dec 2017 : "I have managed to assign a window seat (40A) on the flight from London to Cape Town. For the Philadelphia to London seating can only be requested upon check in" Actually Travelstart booked a window seat on the Philadelphia to London leg not the London to Cape Town leg. Also they failed to mention that many people were paying for seats on the London to Cape Town leg prior to the 24 hour check in limit so that when we tried to book a window seat 24 hours in advance (6th January 2018) none were available. R15 000 wasted. Ref ZA ********** 0/RA5R7Z
I bought a Echlin Igniter Module from MIdas for R695. The box was not sealed as the thermal paste was lost on the stairs and I had to ask Salie to check where it was. Without my questioning I would have obtained an igniter without the thermal paste. I was not able to use the igniter immediately as the car was at the garage for other repairs for an extended period. When I opened the box at a later stage the yellow wire was loose from its connector. It looked as though someone had twisted and broken the wire but this was not visible under the heatshrink over the connection. Had Echlin made the the heatshrink been tight over the joint this twisting would also not been possible. When the heatshrink slipped off the connection the wire came loose. I approached Midas (Salie and Richard) and was told that they would not accept a return. The damage to the item is physical not electrical. It is quite evident that I have not tried to use the igniter as the thermal paste has not been used nor have any *****s been touched, In future I will avoid purchasing items from Midas and watch out for boxes with broken seals. I will also avoid Torre / Echlin products as it seems as though details like heatshrink are not applied properly. Seems like I will have to solder back the wire myself which will probably void other guarrantees ...
