*1/5 Stars - Avoid Acute Finance at All Costs!* I'm sharing my horrific experience with Acute Finance (NCR CP 19403) to warn others: BEWARE OF THESE ****MERS! I app**** for a R4,000 loan through their consultant, Amos Mashimbye, who promised approval and same-day disbur*****t. After multiple follow-ups and false promises, we agreed to cancel the application due to an alleged default. BUT, my account was still debited with R4,831.09 a month later. When I reported the issue, Amos promised to investigate and refund the money. However, the refund never materialized, and I was left with empty promises. *Red Flags:* - False promises of loan approval and disbur*****t - Unauthorized debit of R4,831.09 after cancellation - Lack of accountability and communication *Advice:* - Avoid Acute Finance and their ************ consultants like the plague! - Be cautious of loan providers with questionable practices - Report similar incidents to protect others *Share Your Experience:* If you've had a similar experience with Acute Finance, share your story to warn others. Let's hold them accountable! #AcuteFinance**** #BewareOfLoan****s #ConsumerProtection
I enrolled my Grade 1 daughter in Little Readers Irene Centurion in 2024, expecting improved reading skills. Instead, we experienced incompetence, disorganization, and heartlessness. *Issues:* 1. *Welcome pack debacle:* Paid for a welcome pack (including a t-shirt) that never arrived. Excuses ranged from "head office delivers once a term" to "we already gave it to your daughter." 2. *Lack of progress:* By term 3, children couldn't read a simple sentence. 3. *Ruthless payment policies:* Paying two days late resulted in my child being kicked out of class. They demanded proof of payment from a 6-year-old. *Conclusion:* Little Readers Irene Centurion prioritizes profits over children's well-being. Their polished appearance belies a disorganized, uncaring operation. Avoid this program at all costs.
I recently celebrated my daughter's birthday at Hyto Tyto on September 21, 2024, and I'm thrilled to share our outstanding experience. Despite unexpected bad weather, Hyto Tyto seamlessly transitioned our outdoor party to their indoor venue, ensuring the celebration continued without a hitch. Their dedication to making our event special was impressive. They waived the venue hire fee and only charged us for the food. This generous gesture demonstrated their commitment to customer satisfaction. What stood out: - Flexible indoor and outdoor play areas, ensuring a seamless transition - Proactive problem-solving and communication - Transparent apology and resolution - Delicious food and excellent service - Commitment to improving policies and procedures The email they sent after the party showcases their focus on customer experience and continuous improvement. Hyto Tyto's staff exceeded our expectations with their empathy, professionalism, and willingness to adapt. Their venue offers the perfect blend of outdoor and indoor spaces, making it an ideal choice for any event. *Rating:* 5/5 stars *Recommendation:* Hyto Tyto is an exceptional choice for birthday parties, events, and dining. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at Virgin Active Eco-Park. As a member at Virgin Active Rooihuiskraal, I was shocked to discover that spectators aren't allowed inside the club, including parents of minor children taking swimming lessons. The receptionist, Maria, was rude and unhelpful. She made unacceptable comments about members from Rooihuiskraal, implying we're not trustworthy. The club's policy prohibiting entry for members without a national membership is unreasonable, especially when we've already taken out memberships for our children at Eco-Park. The lack of accommodation for parents to supervise their minor children is alarming. Who will assist our 7-year-olds with showering after swimming? The 3-month wait to upgrade to a national membership is unacceptable. Virgin Active should reconsider their spectator policy and provide better training for their staff to ensure respectful and helpful interactions with members. Update: I hope Virgin Active takes our complaint seriously and addresses these issues promptly.
Title: A Test of Patience - Nedbank's Disappointing Service Date of Visit: 11th and 12th of December, 2023 Branch: Nedbank at Mall@reds and Centurion Mall Branch Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ On Monday, the 11th of December, I visited a Nedbank branch located at the Mall@reds with the intention of opening a business account. My experience, however, was far from what I had anticipated from an institution of such repute. Upon arrival, I was confronted by a rather cold and dismissive receptionist who informed me, with a noticeable lack of courtesy, that the branch did not have business consultants on-site and that I should connect with their call centre. Her demeanor suggested that I was supposed to have this number readily available, which struck me as unprofessional. When asked for the number, she seemed visibly inconvenienced, which only soured my impression of the branch's customer service further. Hoping for a better experience, I visited a larger branch at the Centurion Mall the following day. Yet, my optimism was soon dashed when I was informed that all their business consultants were on a lunch break. Heeding their advice, I reached out to the call centre. The call centre experience proved equally unsatisfactory. I spent over an hour on the phone with a consultant trying to open an account, only to be asked to find someone at the branch to send over a confusingly voluminous document stack. Upon returning to the Centurion Mall branch and inquiring about the business bankers, I was told that they had returned but were too busy to assist me. Eventually, a business consultant did agree to help me, showing me where to sign and promising to send the forms back on my behalf. She assured me that the account would be open soon and that she would contact me with further assistance. However, a week later, after investing almost two hours on the phone and three hours at the branches, I am yet to hear back from anyone at Nedbank. Since then, I have made numerous attempts to get in touch, sending multiple emails and calling the call centre again, all to no avail. Nedbank's slogan is "Making things happen". Regrettably, my experience with them has been a stark contrast to this proclamation. The process of opening a business account has proven to be disappointingly challenging. I earnestly hope that my experience is an isolated incident and not reflective of Nedbank's overall service. My patience, however, is waning, and I look forward to a resolution soon.
I recently had the misfortune of booking a surprise birthday treat for my partner at Cradle Lodge and Health Spa, nestled in the charming town of Hartbee****rt, a short 45-minute drive from either Johannesburg or Pretoria. What I had anticipated to be a serene getaway turned into a distressing ordeal that I would not wish on anyone. Right off the bat, the lodge's website unfriendly interface, particularly for mobile users, was a significant drawback. It was impossible to view their packages on my phone, which created an unnecessary inconvenience from the onset. The second issue arose when I phoned the lodge to discuss this problem and inquire about prices and different packages. Instead of understanding and assistance, I was met with annoyance and impatience from their staff. This lack of customer service was not only unprofessional but also extremely disheartening. Thirdly, the booking process was equally frustrating. While I understand the need for a 50% deposit, the lodge's staff conveniently failed to mention that missing the appointment would result in forfeiture of the entire amount, not just the deposit. This lack of transparency was deeply unsettling. Despite these hurdles, I persevered, making numerous phone calls and receiving different package prices each time from different staff members. After being told repeatedly that they were fully booked, I finally managed to secure a booking for the 21st of November. I made it clear that this was a surprise birthday present for my partner and made a full payment. Unfortunately, on the day, my partner was running late. I called the lodge, hoping we could reschedule our booking. Yet again, I was met with an uncompromising stance. They stated rescheduling was impossible and that I would lose my entire booking amount, contradicting their cancellation policy of forfeiting only 50% of the booking amount. As a result, I was left out of pocket by R2750 during these challenging economic times with no chance to reschedule. The experience with Cradle Lodge and Health Spa was deeply disappointing to say the least. Their lack of customer service, transparency, and flexibility has left a bitter taste, and I urge others to be cautious when considering a booking here.
