In 2014 I bought a funeral policy at pep for the elderly, and it was underwritten by Hollard life insurance. I have been paying my premiums until today I received a message that my policy has lapsed due to non-payment, I called in trying to understand what is going on and the Consultant that I spoke to said I missed 6 payments in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and they can't re-instate it. I don't understand how is it possible that I was not notified in 2018 when I missed payments even in 2019 and only now and how is it possible that I was able to make payments when I have missed other payments. The other reason I was told that the person insured is above age. The consultant said I need to produce proof of payment to show that I have been paying and honestly speaking I haven't been keeping invoices because I thought when I make payments it should reflect on their side. I feel like Hollard insurance together with pep store wants to cheat me of all the money that I have paid since 2014 and they also said I cannot get my premiums back. I feel like this is so unprofessional and it's a daylight robbery.
I took a contract with Telkom in 2013 and i was supposed to be R99,00 for 24months.I realised in 2016 that they were still debiting my account and i called the call centre to have my contact cancelled with no luck,in March 21st 2017 i called in again and the lady i spoke to took my e-mail address to send me the cancellation form and she didn't, the debit order started taking different amounts from my account and i reversed them but they never stopped in June i called again and received the cancellation form ,i filled it in and sent it back to their cancellation department and they said it would take approximately 21 working days until today it is not cancelled. I called in and spoke to a lady by the name of Vuyiswa Sikhakhane and she told me on 1 of the e-mails that my contract was renewed in 2015 and when i asked who renewed the contract or approved the renewal she couldn't give me a relevant answer and she never replied to my emails. According to my knowledge when your contract is due for renewal the client is notified to come in store and apply for renewal or cancel the contract but in my case that didn't happen.I have been paying since 2013 until today for the 1 simple phone i took in 2013,i am very disappointed in Telkom for such bad service even last week on Wednesday the 11th i went to the store in Eastgate to have it cancelled and sent the cancellation form again and i haven't heard anything from them again.
