The food wasn't bad, but the milkshakes was better. Kids Section: They have an indoor and outdoor area, but the indoor area leads to back doors of the restaurant and not where you would like your small children to play unattended. The outdoor area can be accessed as you leave the restaurant, yes, no direct access you have to go past the reception area first. Not ideal for parents with small children if you would like to dine while they play. No tables, only 2 single dining chairs was outside. The interior gives you the feeling of a proper steakhouse, yet the no attention to detail staff members that watches the soccer above your head while you are eating / waiting for them to eventually bring you a working pepper grinder is not what one expected. After saying you are done, indicating that we would like the bill he would stop clearing the table and bring dessert menus instead? When the bill finally arrives, he is quick to bring the machine without us indicating that we're even close to making payment yet.

We stayed in one of the "Middle Chalets", but we could see the beach between the two chalets opposite ours, when we opened the front door :) Lovely place equipped with everything you need (Le Creuset everything) to make your stay comfortable - even with ladies cleaning the house when you quickly step out for breakfast. Perfectly located to escape the city hustle and take in the fresh air that "the heads" has to over.Lovely spacious rooms with two bathrooms and ample cupboard space. Microwave & stove should you not make use of the outside braai. Unfortunately the braai is next to the chalet and the outside seating area is in front of the chalet, but I'm sure one can make it work. Parking is close to / next to the chalet, but rather tight if they are fully booked. Best to let them know if you'll be traveling with a trailer.Thank you for special touches - the heater that was on in the living room, as we arrived quite late and it was raining. The welcome card, addressed to us, providing us with the wifi code and restaurant guide etc.
Use to never have a problem with their service, until I needed a pick-up on a Friday (more than once now). Their drivers have the final say it seems, with no communication to their office aka no communication to the client. If the driver decides its too late to do a pick-up he will go back to the depot without clearing it with the office etc. If he then collects the next day and have another collection at the same address he will also mark it as a duplicate, again, no checking with the office and then have the audacity to ask the client to meet the driver somewhere cause he cannot turn around (while still being in the same small town). Client have to follow-up to ensure that deadlines are met. Something changed and I would advise that they better sort it out before loosing more clients.
We purchased a Hyperli with all kinds of red tape. However, from making the booking to having to reschedule due to weather through to the actual day on the boat - everything was effortless, super friendly and accommodating staff and all around lovely day out. Would definitely recommend!
If you have the option to rather get your prescription medication from another Dis-chem, other than Somerset Mall, then save yourself the frustration and do it! It took the lady half an hour to tell me 80% of my prescription was out of stock, half way through she had to go get something and ended up chatting to (what looked liked) a family member standing a few feet away from me. Needless to say, she came back empty handed. I would definitely not recommend this dispensary to anybody!!
We purchased a Hyperli for a wine tasting before locked down. Getting to go was quite a mission with things getting in our way, but luckily the staff/manager at The Val Du Charron was so very accommodating and always willing to assist that when we could finally go, we really enjoyed it aswell. Not only was the wine great, but the stories that went with each one was so interesting, it really made the tasting one to remember and one we would surely recommend!
Number one stop if you need photo-books done. Their software, to create your own book, is very customer friendly. Anyone can use it and will find their way around without having to look for the manual first. I had some challenges with checkout, but the friendly staff quickly assisted me. Definitely a #WIN from me.
Instead of having to stand in long ques at the Traffic Department you can now email the department your application, given that your vehicle registration is still valid, and collect at the admin department a few days later. I collected my renewal today - seamless process, really impressed!
Tried to cancel data contracts since October. Everytime I called they where more interested in upgrading than cancel, promised that I would receive a cancellation sms within 30 days only to be billed at the end of the month. The consultant then puts the phone down without giving a reference number, or when they do give one they have a horrible attitude. Everytime I phone a Vodacom outlet to check whether its been cancelled, they say that there’s no mention of a cancellation made on the line. Terrible Service, really shocking!
