PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. THEY DO NOT PROVIDE GOOD WORKMANSHIP AND THEN BLAME THE CUSTOMER BECAUSE THEY GIVE YOU A WAIVER FORM TO SIGN AS PART OF FORMALITY WITHOUT EXPLAINING WHAT IT ENTAILS. WHEN WE TRY AND ADDRESS OR ESCALTE THE ISSUE THE OWNER RIAZ THEN COMES OUT WITH THE PROMISE THAT HE NEEDS TO DO AN INSPECTION, SUBSEQUENTLY COMES OUT DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO SPEAK, SPEAKS OVER YOU, CLEARLY HE HAS SAT WITH HIS STAFF, WATCHED FOOTAGE & DECIDED HOW TO PROTECT THEMSELVES AND PUT THE BLAME ON YOU AS THE CUSTOMER
I incorrectly made an online booking and called in to get assistance having it changed and despite being polite the lady working with online bookings name Chauline was extremely rude and spoke to me in a very condescending matter and when i asked to be transferred to someone who was actually willing to assist her remark was "Good luck with that". I called back and chose the correct option and was redirected to her. i do not expect such poor service from a company like RCI. I usually ask for Bilal to assist me who does so in a very professional manner, but i was told when i called in that i needed to get assistance from the person who took my call. if someone does not want to do their job they should not merely occupy a space and being down others who are actually committed
I have been complaining on this platform from the 02/02/2022 about a company that MTN uses to promote their products and offer contracts, called Mondo. This company has staff that completely misrepresent MTN and have tried to get me bound to take out a contract of R499 for an LTE router with unlimited wifi access and it was supposed to be something you could use remotely as well, travel etc. and supposed to work even during load shedding. needless to say that once i did receive that device it was nothing like that specifications i was provided with and i the item was due for dispatch immediately after i had ended the call with the agent, yet i had told him that i was on holiday and would only be available for receipt in 2 weeks time. i kept getting calls from the courier company about the delivery and i explained that they could not deliver. i received my first statement a month after the call yet i was promised that i would not be charged anything for 60 days, and i had time to return the item should i be dissatisfied. i tried returning the item which became a mission as it could not just be picked up the way i received it, which i must add was never communicated to me. additionally where i live there was no MTN direct store so i was asked to travel 30 min away from home to so so. i am a working individual and this was really a huge inconvenience. when i did go to return it they picked up the initial date of dispatch and not the date i received it, and being a Saturday i could not get hold of MONdo for them to give me and email confirming that i can return the device. it was a futile trip. i had to return the Monday with the email., confirming that i can return the device. I was then told they needed to verify that i had returned the device prior to any refunds, and then i was billed again. i have sent the name of the consultant, his employee ID, which he claimed to be an MTN employee ID, so I was under the impression I was dealing with MTN directly and a number of other numbers he claimed were toll free, to activate the product, for customer care etc. i was charged close to R3000 last month from MTN with a message that my contract was cancelled. this product was never activated. I complained immediately after i put it on charge and saw it did not work unless it was plugged in so it needed power supply and did not have a battery built in. so i didn't bother doing anything further. i even mentioned that i was already happy with mweb as my internet provider and it was the same price, so i did not want ot change. the consultant insisted and kept making all the false claims outlined even saying that it would be very fast and was 5g, speeds would not be affected, and i did not have a problem with speed. so he kept emphasizing that it was going to be helpful as it works without electricity and even tole me up to 5hrs and i could use it anywhere. i have not been getting any joy from either MTN or MOndo and its is just puts us in a disadvantage. this is the last communication i received from MTN on the 12/03/2022. and no refund. i Have complained about this company on the 02/002/2022 on this platform and the lies and misleading , a reply received stated that my case would be investigated and apologized for m y experience. as i mentioned that is difficult to get out of these contracts. after having deducted an amount not agreed on and a month earlier than agreed upon i received this email this morning Y'ello valued customer, we have not received payment for your MTN account. To stay connected, please pay 756.55 using the MyMTN app or via ABSA, FNB or Standard Bank. Select MTN and use ************XX as your payment reference. MTN. to say i am upset it putting it mildly. Mondo and MTN that deals with this company please get your house in order and if i should receive any further such communication i will take legal action.
Hello peter should really consider a no star rating. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE OUT A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT AND IT WILL BE A NIGHTMARE TRYING TO GET OUT OF IT, I AM TRYING. almost everything that was explained to me by the salesperson was false. i was sold an LTE router that was supposed to be able to work for approximately 5 hours when there is not power, and would be portable with high speeds. i was supposed to be able to trial it for 10 days and then return obligation free. the first deduction was only supposed to be on the 1st of march of R499 which was the same as my current fibre provider, whom they tried to discredit, lucky i had my reservations and did not cancel with them, but now i get debited R756.55 on the 1st of feb. the device cannot work unplugged there is no backup battery, so it was a load of misleading, i was never able to activate the service and use the internet. i was provided with numbers for support told that they were toll free and they were not. i communicated all this via email and expressed my dissatisfaction and asked them to come and fetch the device before the 10 days were up. then it became my problem to return it and it had to be returned to an mtn direct store which was not available where i live, this frustrated me even more. i am tired of their lies and them lagging with the process. i have made it very clear that the contract needs to be cancelled. their practises are unethical and the last straw is them taking money from me.. they need to be held accountable. i was also charged a R65 fee. THEY MAKE EVERYTHING OUT TO BE LIKE YOU GETTING AN UNBELIEVABLE DEAL. NOW I AM WASTING MUCH OF MY TIME ON HAVING TO SORT THIS OUT AND I AM DEEPLY FRUSTRATED
I HAD ORDERED SEVERAL ITEMS AS GIFTS ONLY TO FIND THAT MOST OF THEM DID NOT ARRIVE IN OCTOBER AS INDICATED AND THOSE THAT DID ARRIVE WERE EITHER DAMAGED OR OF A VERY INFERIOR QUALITY. THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO MY EMAILS NOR CAN I GET REFUND BECAUSE MY ORDER NO LONGER APPEARS.. THIS IS NOT A US BASED COMPANY BUT ITEMS ARE SHIPPED FROM CHINA AND DO NOT MATCH THE SPECS AT ALL.
