Cell C / MTN / Vodacom / Telkom / ATC South Africa tower site 350250 (Wychwood Primary) disturbing the peace and diesel pollution
I am writing this on behalf of the residents on McAlpine and Price Roads Wychwood Germiston. For the last 5 days there have been 4 diesel generators parked on the walk way outside the cell tower opposite 72 / 74 McAlpine Road. These generators make an excessive amount of noise and are polluting the air, when there is no power failure in the area. We have not been able to sleep or breathe properly as a result of these generators. Our weekend was spoiled as we cannot spend time in our own gardens because of the diesel fumes and the noise from the generators, My daughter is 7 months pregnant and because of the disruption and lack of proper rest has had to visit her doctor as she is concerned that the baby is being affected by the frustration caused by these generators. We have spoken to many people at ATC South Africa who, from what I can understand, are contracted by the cellular companies to supply the generators. We as residents have never been notified that these generators will be place on our door step and could cause noise and pollution and for how long, they were just put there with on consideration of the residence. How do we proceed in resolving this - Please can someone advise. I will place the above on record for the following companies: ATC South Africa Cell C Vodacom MTN Telcom I would appreciate a reply from the above on how they intend to swiftly resolve this unacceptable situation Regards Mark Brand
