Least useful customer service, can't comprehend your messages and refuse to be useful.
Completely impossible to contact. Placed an order on uber eats and there isn't a single method listed to contact any branch.
I shipped my personal computer from Cape Town to Pietermaritzburg in April and insured it because I don't trust anyone who isn't me to touch it. When it arrived in Pietermaritzburg still in it's packaging I signed to receive it. When I opened the package I discovered that it had obviously been dropped at least once quite badly - there was severe and irrepairable damage to the case which is past it's end of life and almost impossible to find new and whole, nevermind parts to try repair it. As I had insured the package I sent off a request to claim my fair recompense. According to Skynet, after weeks of chasing the representative I had contact with, signing to receive the package waives them of any responsibility. I find this to be the height of bad faith and dodgy practices as I had to sign to receive my package, before I could even inspect it. On the shipping back it was even further damaged, which says a lot about the care given to packages marked fragile very clearly. I am not claiming an exorbitant amount - only the one item that was damaged. They have lost my business for life and I will never recommend a company that treats it's customers with such little respect.
I've had trouble with their billing system since I received the contract and coincidentally travelled the country without finding a branch to help me. This time my contract has finally run out and instead of giving me any options they've automatically raised the price by roughly 50%, and it's impossible to get hold of any on the customer service hotline, which is apparently the only way to cancel my contract. I've never had worse service and never experienced such determination to stop me from interacting with a human who could help me. While writing this review, after a 40 minute wait on hold for someone to talk to, I managed to cancel my contract. It was done within minutes and I was told that the reason the price went up is due to the special my contract was under, at time of purchase, falling away. The fact that they raised the price without letting me know is theft as far as I'm concerned. I'll never recommend MTN to anyone and will actively promote other brands. As an aside, one of the branches I visited where I insisted on having someone help me, the assistant just took my phone and dialled customer service, while I was under the impression that they were checking my phone's information. I'm still certain that the billing issue at the time was an over charge I'll be glad to have no dealings with MTN.
I ordered a cell phone from overseas and it arrived in South Africa on the 26th of September, all attempts to find out why my parcel is so late have been fruitless. So far I have had no actual feedback from anyone, although one employee has been making a token effort. My dissatisfaction knows no end.
