I recently bought 2 items from Takealot. The 2 products where of the same brand however I had a coupon that only app**** to the 1 item. I returned the item on which I paid full price and now they are refusing to give me a full refund, insisting that I have to get a voucher to the amount of the discount received on the item that I did not return and that voucher can only spent on products of the same brand I originally purchased. I have sent numerous emails and made numerous phone calls to try and explain this to them only to be insulted by the manager when I said that this was a simple mathematical calculation and should not be difficult. Its been 3 weeks now struggling to get my money out of them and them insisting that they can apply the voucher to any of the 2 products as they were the same brand! This all after they still said I didn't return all the items even though I didn't even open the box!
If I could give a zero, I would have. I have bought an item and arranged for it to be returned as it was the incorrect size. After having to follow up several times, the return was eventually collected. That was more than 2 months ago! Since then I have followed up numerous times without any feedback from their help desk. No product and no refund!!! I will never support them again and will never ever recommend anyone to support them either
So since no one who I spoke to at Planet Fitness is willing to hear me out, this is the only platform I can warn others to reconsider 1000 times before signing up with Planet Fitness. I signed up in January 2020 through a partnership program with Multiply. I was able to gym for about 5 weeks before the pandemic started. I'm a single mom with a toddler, so I could no longer go to the gym as the gym closed the 'creche' section, even before the lockdown started. (I'm totally understanding of this and wouldn't want to expose my child either way) During the lockdown gym memberships were frozen and no debit orders were deducted. (Contracts were however automatically extended with the same period) When gyms re-opened, I contacted the gym to enquire about cancelling my contract as I am not able to go the gym with my little one and I also don't have anyone to look after her. They advised that a cancellation fee of R1700 will have to be paid or I can freeze my membership for another 2 months. The lady I spoke to at the time made it clear that it's not the gym's problem that I don't have anyone to look after my child. I opted to freeze my membership hoping that circumstances will change that will allow me to go back to the gym. Unfortunately, 2 months down the line, the gym still does not allow toddlers to enter the gym, I still don't have anyone that can look after my child but I am still forced to pay membership fee's for a service I cannot use and I was also not allowed to freeze my membership any longer After sending numerous mails enquiring about the cancellation of the contract, I was contacted by an agent again, although very helpful she advised that if I wanted to cancel the cancellation fee would still amount to R1700 (one would think that this amount would come down as the contract comes closer to its end) and that freezing is not an option because I signed up through the partnership program. I had no other option then to cancel the contract and pay the R1700 cancellation fee. So in essence I ended up paying close to R3000 to have the honor of gyming at Planet Fitness for 5 weeks. There was absolutely no compassion or understanding from anyone, to them it's all about the money.
Pathetic service!!!! This is the reason why I will never support any online business ever again! They are very quick to take your money and then they disappear into thin air!! I have asked multiple times for an update on my order, then got blocked.... without ever receiving an answer. STAY AWAY!!!!!!
I requested for a collection to be done in Johannesburg and delivered to my company in Pretoria at around 10:30 Thursday morning expecting to receive my goods either Friday or even Monday, judging by a previous courier company used, who 'forgot'to pick up my parcel and only receiving it almost a week later, while still charging me for next day delivery. Big was my surprise when I returned to the office at 16:00 to find that my parcel has been delivered ALREADY! Thank you for the great service, this comes much appreciated!! I will definitely make use of you again!
I have tried to transact online but on checkout I got an error stating that the transaction could not be successfully completed and that I should try again HOWEVER within seconds I received sms's from my bank that the amount for the purchase was not only take off once but TWICE!! This seems to be a regular issues looking at all the other complaints on HelloPeter, pity I didn't I have a look here first before I decided to purchase online with them!!!
