I requested cancellation of my Telkom account in May 2019. In June/July they finally sent out one of their contractors to investigate internet connectivity issues at my place. This morning (26/09/2019) I received an email from Telkom regarding cancelling my account and what they need from me. 5 months later, a human actually looks at my request. Why on earth does it take so long? This is tantamount to no customer service.
I had an interaction with two of their agents today. Rather than answering my questions directly they parrot off some script, and no matter what you say they keep repeating and parroting off whatever is written in front of them. its like talking to robots. There is no human element in their customer service and this is very disappointing as I have been a customer of theirs for some years now. I ended up resolving to close my account because I was getting no where with them and getting very frustrated.
I am formally complaining about FNB’s connect services. When I requested two sim swaps with FNB on the 9th of October, only one of them went though. The other number, more than 24 hours later, still has not been swapped. Moreover, three times, out of the number of times I called to get this sorted, the call centre agents just dropped the phone on me without letting me explain the situation. I finally got told by a consultant that the system had not been working for months. This means they are falsely advertising services they cannot deliver, and thus wasting customer’s time and betraying trust. I am deeply disappointed at the service, and infuriated by the incompetency.
