Explained being unemployed (for 10 months). Receive at least 8 calls a day. Call centre operators threaten to hand account over to legal and collections for one (1) month in arrears, despite previous regular account payments. Abusive / threatening mails and even whatsapp messages numbering at least 10 in a day. Call centre says you have to pay 3 months in advance to be able to remove a debit order from the arrangement. And yet, when the tracker is activated - no response. Request for call back from management ignored. Imagine relying on this service in case of emergency!
Makro on-line out performed themselves over the festive season (2024). Their on-line purchase process was simple and efficient, delivery was on-time and their communication throughout the process was 100%. Well done.
Overall, an acceptable experience. The family unit needed some basic maintenance, the administrative process was fairly painless and the staff are very friendly and helpful. No wi fi in the units, but available in the communal area. The heated swimming pool was great. The flies drove us absolutely mad, but the area seems to be experiencing a bumper year in that area.
Never to be repeated, abysmal experience with this "international" franchise. Food varied from terrible to acceptable, depending on the dish. Reservation on-line was futile, and had to be confirmed by telephone. The waiter, Skype, was friendly and efficient but his efforts were hampered by an kitchen overwhelmed by the expectation of starters being prepared and delivered before main courses. 2.5 hours into the experience and food had not yet been delivered- including starters. Management seemed inexperienced and inept. Several patrons were observed complaining, some leaving prematurely. Sadly, just not worth the hype. And an embarrassing experience to hosts with NZ and Aus visitors.
Ordered items from them more than a year ago. Never received the package. Tried in vain to track the package. Contacted the company only to be told they could not track the package. Tried in vain to follow-up on various options for either tracking package/refund or re-send package. No luck. Mailbox since inundated with marketing and adverts for "specials". Stay away!
Take note that Canvas It has posted a notice on their website and will not be honoring any orders, back-orders, deliveries or payments made.... Admittedly, it is under dire circumstances (see the notice for yourself). Also note, the company was linked to other businesses.... I for one, will be making more use of hellopeter before making orders in the future. "Dear Loyal Customer, It is with regret that I must inform you that Canvas It was liquidated. You placed and paid for an order with Canvas It but Canvas It would unfortunately not be able to deliver." ....
