Should have named themselves NOT SURE. Had an emergency at home. Called them and I was told that I would be contacted by another department for assistance. Not a single call yet. Cheaper premiums equates to inferior service.
On 01/07/22 I called card division Rgd fraudulent debits on my credit card. They stopped my card but before doing do they allowed me to move most of my finds out. Having peace for mind that only a few hundred brands was left-nobody would get anything more. Card was stopped and to date I have not collected my new card. Few days later a debit of R18000 goes off, causing my card to be overdrawn. I immediately called them n was advised that my card was used after it was blocked. They have agreed that it was a flaw on their side and would deffinatley rectify the problem. I've tried calling them on numerous occasions and spent hours in my phone bit still not sorted. Its almost 2 months and no interest to assist me till now (30/08/22) I've been banking with std bank for over 26 years.....AND THIS IS THE SERVICE....
Theres always an issue. I always order and insist on no tomatoes. They always put in even though the order even reads no tom. I've complainted twice before but they manager or owner asked me to bring it back so they change them but we bought them on our way on s long trip. I did take pics of them and did send it through. I'd rather drive to the veldenvlei branch where we got excellent service and they never mess up our order. I ordered from meerensee today as I've just picked up my kids from school and they insisted and they were assured that they should have corrected their mistakes by now. Unfortunately not .
After bookings have been made and a deposit paid, one would assume that all is taken care of... Right? No. Not at all. After travelling over ****m, we arrive at the Numbi Hotel in Hazyview, where we had booked a family room to accommodate our family of four. It was a hot day and the kids just wanted to jump into the pool as it was a long drive. We got to reception at about 16:00 to check in. All was going well, the guy at reception was aware that we booked a family room but gave us keys to a normal double room and he thought that we were just going to keep quiet about it. It was then that the drama started. No answer could be given as to what happened because it does appear on our booking that we booked and paid for a family suite. We were made to sit at reception while we try to find other accommodation. It was Good Friday and a long weekend so no places were available. We asked to see a manager but no one was available. We were then approached by another gentleman named Mthunzi, whom I believe should actually be prompted to customer service manager. He was in fact in charge of the bar and beverages but he went out of his way to accommodate us after being told by reception "we can't do anything to help you." He took us to a new building next door that looked beautiful but was newly painted and the room was not ventilated, so that was unfortunately not an option. He then offered us 2 double rooms but my kids are only 9 and 10 so even that wasn't an option. By then it had already gotten dark and we were tired and hungry and obviously angry. I wanted to drive back home that very instance.... We realised that we were in a predicament and had no other option. So I opted to take the double room that accommodates 2 guests and asked them to add in another single bed in, just to manage for the night. Mthunzi then moved a bed in for us. The room was cramped, we had no privacy and our poor kids didn't even get to go into the pool. We've stayed in many hotels before, where there were some unforseen issues but due to exceptional customer service, alternate arrangements were made.... But not at this place... Take it or leave it attitude. The best part is that the next morning on checking out they still had the damn audacity to charge us for a family suite..... Yep..... thank you Numbi Hotel for nothing.
I just purchased a car for my wife. I was ensuring that the car is in perfect running condition before giving it to her. The only issue that I had was a vibration at highway speeds. With my extensive knowledge of cars I suspected the balancing of the rear tyres. I took the car to bluff tyres as other fitment centres were too busy. I had all tyres balanced. Drove off assuming that my problem was over. The problem was exactly the same and at the exact same speeds. Now I was really concerned as I now believe that there's a serious mechanical problem. Being extremely concerned, I called the dealer that I had bought the car from to relay my dissatisfaction and disappointment. He asked me to take the car to Hi-Q in Richards Bay to redo the balancing. This I felt was irrational as I believe was unnecessary and time consuming. I never the less took the car to Hi Q. I stood at the balancing machine while the balancing was being done. I was shocked and flabbergasted at the results. It seems as though it was never done in the first place. After the job was done I took the car for a test drive and it was perfectly fine. I went to bluff tyres n explained my situation and asked for a refund. I was told that the manager could not be reached. I left my details and was told to come back for a refund. My point is that the money isn't the issue. We believe in these people and fortunately I am mechanically minded. How many people accept there inferior service and take it for granted. I'm yet to be contacted.
I've been having a minor issue with my car. Loses about half a litre of water every 1000 kms but still drives 100 %. Did some researching and it was pointing to head gasket. Checked online n found a local product "gasket magic". In About July last year I gave them a call n explained my situation. I spoke to Koos, who then was extremely helpful. I did inform him that I had added a bottle of aqua clear, which I do to all my cars as it keeps the cooling system clean. I was convinced that I was making the right decision. Got the product a day later. Called Koos again before adding the gasket magic. To have peace of mind I flushed out my cooling system a few times. I added the gasket magic n "wallah"..... All my problems started. This so called Magic has blocked my cooling system. My car began to heat up, loses water every 100 kms. Heater blokes cold air even when car is hot, I mean really hot... I wasn't sure what I did wrong as I followed the instructions with a magnifying glass and only after consulting with Koos. The low water warning comes on even if the water is full.. I called their office and spoke to Yvette as Koos wasn't available. I explained to her my situation. Koos has never once contacted me. I've called the cell number and left numerous messages but still no Koos. Now they don't even take my calls so to me I've learnt a valuable lesson that there are no short cuts. This product sounded too good to be true and I regretfully found out why.
