Thoroughly enjoyed the huge breakfast and the service we received from our waitress, Catherine was SUPER! I will most definitely visit Oppiplaas again.
On Monday the 2nd of October 2023, I visited Port Alfred as part of a road trip (vacation) from Gauteng to the Eastern Cape, and after hearing a strange sound coming from my vehicles right front wheel, decided to seek assistance at the Ford dealership, Eastern Cape motors, Port Alfred. A friendly lady at the counter introduced me to the workshop manager, Charl, who informed me that he will have a technician available to take a look that same day at 15:00. At 15:00 Charl collected my vehicle’s keys from me and we were requested to wait while the technician attended to my Mazda Drifter. After a short period of time a technician handed me the keys and explained that the brake caliper was loose and that he replaced the missing bolt. After I was informed by Charl that the repair was done at no cost, I was stunned! Friendly service, immediate assistance, and all that at no cost to me, is sincerely appreciated. This is literally “walking the extra mile” and I had absolute peace of mind while exploring the beautiful Eastern- and Western Cape as well as during my journey back to Centurion, Gauteng. Anita’s eye test and prescription is “spot on” and whilst Carmen and Charlie, the friendly ladies behind the desk runs a smooth and hassle-free operation, Anita and the team patiently assist you by choosing the correct frame most suitable for your requirements. I had the privilege of again receiving a pair of spectacles from them today, after I registered an Insurance claim which they as usual, processed and finalized, efficiently and very quickly. Today, I had a mechanical failure on my vehicle and once again I realized how fortunate and privileged am to be Insured with Discovery. I travelled from Centurion to Rustenburg and when entering Rustenburg, my vehicle’s left front wheel made a terrible noise. I struggled to control the vehicle and realizing that I was unable to drive further, stopped the vehicle. I immediately contacted Discovery Insure 24 Alarm Response/ Roadside Assist and Mr. William Machitiso Jnr assisted me. The mentioned operator guided me through the process and clearly explained to what extent I was covered. He was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the service. Within minutes a towing service arrived and took me and my vehicle to Leons Ford/Mazda Rustenburg dealership who informed me that the wheel bearing “collapsed” and needs to be replaced. Mr. Machitiso telephonically followed up and made sure that everything went according to plan. It is heartwarming to experience such superb service during a breakdown, realizing that my wife and child also have access to this service, should they ever require assistance as I did today. I called Discovery Health today as to obtain authorisation regarding a medical procedure and hospitalisation. Bafana, the call centre agent was not only friendly, but extremely professional. I do not only love this store and its contents but the service received from Alex and Thando on Saturday 25/03/2023 again proved that Cape Union Mart Mall @ Reds is in a class of its own! These two people were not only very knowledgeable, but also kind, friendly and helpful. Thank you Alex and Thando for your assistance and advise. Frank Grobbelaar Landscape Consultant did a lawn installation during November 2022 at our residential premises in Centurion. Besides providing us with the best advice, the work was done within a day’s time. We followed his clear instructions in regards to caring and feeding the new lawn and we are now the proud owners of a beautiful LM grass lawn! Neighbours and visitors all compliment us on the beautiful lawn and we are very fortunate to have gotten hold of Frank’s number, before attempting to do the work ourselves. We were very excited when Fibre was eventually activated in our area, and we immediately applied to be linked. Yesterday we discovered that the link was off and that we did not have access to the Internet. Typically of our Country’s people, the first response when I mentioned the fact that I experienced issues with the link towards two colleagues, was “typically Telkom”, and “why did you use them”? I am a very satisfied and proud Telkom customer tonight, and believe me that I will convey the message to the pessimists that I spoke to yesterday morning! Your Telkom Fibre Help number was very helpful, and when the lady identified the problem I was assured that a Technician would call me, regarding the configuration of the router. Now for the next surprise, when Altaf Essop called me! This man’s service is absolutely excellent and he is the Master of patience. Altaf assisted me with the process and not once, I felt uncomfortable or got the impression that I am wasting his time. One tends to feel embarrassed, especially when Technical terms are used, but not with Altaf on the other end of the line! Well done Telkom, and specifically Altaf. You guys have walked the extra mile and the fact that I was back on line, the same afternoon after my report, clearly illustrates commitment and dedication towards Telkom customers. You have a gem in the form of Altaf, and yes, this is typically the kind of person that I would appreciate assisting my Senior citizen parents, and the man on the street when, for the first time having access to this absolutely fantastic technology, and communication platform of the future. Well done Telkom, and thank you for the amazing service!
