MTN has completely failed to protect me as a customer. Someone hacked my number and performed a SIM swap without my consent or proper verification. When I tried to reverse it with a legitimate SIM swap, it was declined. I immediately called MTN to suspend the number, and instead of urgent action, I was told to wait 24 hours because the supervisor “was off.” This is unacceptable! How does a company allow SIM swap ***** and then drag its feet when the real account holder is desperately trying to secure their number? The runaround, incompetence, and lack of urgency from MTN is shocking. I demand answers and accountability. MTN must explain how this ***** happened on their watch and what they’re doing to fix it. I’m already considering escalating this to ICASA and taking legal steps if this is not resolved immediately.
I signed up with Herotel in March, and to this day, the installation still hasn't been done. After following up multiple times, I was finally told that they used my job card at someone else's address—how does that even happen? The level of incompetence is honestly shocking. I’m now at the point where I just want a refund because this whole experience has been a complete waste of time. I cannot deal with this kind of nonsense and lack of professionalism. If this is how they treat new customers, I can’t imagine how bad the service must be once you’re signed up. Stay away.
I am beyond disappointed with Hero Tel Fibre. I registered, paid, and was promised installation, only for the installers to go completely AWOL. I canceled my plans to be available for them, yet they never showed up, and to make matters worse, I can't get hold of them. The lack of communication and professionalism from the staff is appalling. If this is how they treat paying customers, I dread to think what their service would be like if I actually got connected. What an absolute mess
I had a 2 year phone contract with telkom and I finished paying it in May but telkom kept debiting money from my account, I called them and they canceled my contract but tellkom still keeps debiting money from account. This is really frustrating because I don't know what to do. I just received an email saying they'll attend to the query that I've made and I've never made a query with them so I don't understand what's happening.
i am very disappointed and disgusted with the service i got from vodacom. i ordered a contract phone online and it was supposed to have been delivered to my address but it was delayed so i decided to change the delivery address to my work address. I called vodacom sales department to change the address on the 5th of feb and i got a call back on the 7th of feb from a call centre agent to confirm the change of address. Today i called RAM to track my delivery and i was told that they never received change of address from Vodacom so i decided call Vodacom again and they told me they never received a request for a change of address yet i got a call from their sales department to confirm the change. I'm being sent from pillar to post and what is even more annoying is that they don't have reference numbers for their calls like normal contact centres would have so i cant even track who i spoke to. I want to cancel the order and doing that over the phone would be useless.
MTN fraud division or rather the entire organisation is just nonsense, i have a fraud case that has been going on for months. I've been doing follow ups and nobody is getting back to me.
Words cannot even describe how disgusted i am with MTN. So someone opened 2 contracts with MTN in my name which even to this day i fail to understand how someone could have applied for 2 contracts with MTN in 2 different stores without my original ID, bank statement, proof of address and payslip. I reported this matter in April and i've been doing a thousand follow ups on this case and i have heard absolutely nothing from MTN and my case is still not resolved. I called transunion yesterday to check if i have a clear record and they confirmed that im still listed and that i have to lodge a dispute so that they can have my name cleared. This is just so ridiculous!!! it is messing up my credit record and i want it to be cleared as in yesterday!!! I refuse to be doing all of that work because of MTN's negligence. MTN is a mess!!!???
