I handed in notice on my Webafrica account on the 1 st October after my debit order had gone through. I was then told because my notice was on the 1st it would,only end on 30 November. I reluctantly accepted this so paid another months fee on 1 November for a service I could not use as I had moved. I am emigrating/ Now in December I get a bill for a cancellation fee of R999. This company is *********** customers beware.
I am trying to cancel my web africa service. I have no issues with the product and have been with them many years but am emigrating so don’t need it. 1. I cancelled 1st October with one calendar months notice but am told I need to pay until end of November ( I will no longer be in my house). Legally a calendar month starts on the first until the last day of the month so they are breaking the law. 2. They want 999 admin fee to cancel, what on earth is that for if you have been with the company many years. 3. I must return the router at my expense, I accept that even though it means a courier fee as there are only 2 depots in the country and my router is so old it will probably be thrown in the bin. 4. I was on a WhatsApp messaging for over 2 hours with three different people, or it may have been the same person using different names. There was no personal service just repeating the same thing. 5. Reading all the negative comments here I am worried I will be paying them for ever. .
I have been very happy with my solar but now I need to cancel as I have sold my house I get NO response to emails and the helpline does not work. I have been a great advocate of the company but they are letting me down.
I set up a policy with ABSA ACTIVATE which I wish to cancel. Their email only returns computer generated replies with enormous reference numbers. Their call Centre does not function. The only time I got through to the correct department I was told they are offline and will call me back, did NOT. Today I tried again but did not even get through to the right department I had to their funeral policy promo at least 6 times. They are useless.
I,often say to myself I will never again order from Loot but sometimes have no choice. Their delivery times are appalling it is quicker to order from Amazon in the USA and often not much more,expensive.

I have used Loot for a long time and they do have some items say not available at Takealot. BIG complaint their website is totally ‘clunky’ needs work. Worse there,delivery times,are,shocking. Do not believe if say 5 to 10 working days. They had better wqtch out for Amazon. Only positive is,the communication in response to a query is pretty good.
Staff incompetence at the huge branch at Clearwater in roodepoort is mind numbing. They have a front desk often unmanned and waiting times are ridiculous assuming you get to see the right person in the first place
Very impressed with this company. My fish order, salmon,kingclip and tuna was beautifully packed. The delivery was the next day and arrived between the hours stipulated. Excellent produce and highly efficient service.
My third online purchase from this company. They are a great company to deal with and keep you informed about delivery information, I,will definitely recommend them.
