I have recently had a bitter encounter with the above Company due to policy review. They did not want to accept the review they made on my policy. I had to request Ombuds for Short term Insurance to get the correct recording. They were sending me a wrong recording and were sending me from pillar to post. I almost spoke to all the staff members at Outsurance. Those who promised to help me from the beginning were suddenly ignoring me. Outsurance is not what we see on their adverts. Though they later gave me the correct recording which confirmed my dispute, they then settled to the correct monthly premium. If I did not get the recordings, I would be paying that higher premium. I am really disappointed at Outsurance.
I rented a car for a day at Avis Merlyn (R/A No. ********** 84) on the 13 May 2019. First they wouldn't allow me to leave my car in their premises and second when I brought the car, it had a small chip on the windscreen because a truck hit on the highway as I was driving behind it. I reported this to them and I had taken an insurance. The guy who assisted me, told me that due to the insurance, I will charged an admin fee of R90.00 which was on written in red the rental agreement. I never objected to this. On the 29 May, I enquired about my bill as I was getting anxious because they got back to me about my bill as promised. I was told I could have received an sms, and the statement which I never did informing me about the bill. The guy who was assisting immediately sent me the bill via e-mail and the there now a debit of R360.87 which I was told was an admin fee. I disputed this due to previous information. He then promised to escalate this and immediately after our discussion, an sms came indicating, the amount was for damages. How does Avis operate really. This is bad service for me. Still waiting for clarity as this contradicts previous provided information and my Credit Card is still not refunded as they took more than what I was billed.
Vodacom is always asking one a lot of questions to verify one's information which is good for security reasons. But why ask 10 questions and when one cant answer one question, then it is presumed you are not the owner of the contract. They always ask me a Vodacom account number. I don't know it and you get given a run around with your airtime. Their personnel are also very rude. Bad service to you Vodacom with your staff.
I applied for building loan with FNB and completed the whole process. An estimated amount conditionally approved. However their evaluation Unit told me something I don't understand even now. I was told that "the contractor under quoted me". When I ask, what to do now, talk to your contractor". They were also confused as I was. Banks really are a stumbling block to better life for black people. I work and was not gonna have a problem with repayments but just giving an excuse like this. Bad service FNB.
Early this year I took my mother-in-law's car to Citroen Hatfield Pretoria branch for service. I requested that the parts removed be placed back in the car, which they did. The car was however not washed, was returned to me dirty. Fortunately, I have dealt with different dealer companies before, who gave me excellent service. I have never received my car after service dirty. This was my first horrible experience. I contacted the Manager who promised to act and promised to provide me with feedback. He assured me that, though he was new in the Company, only two months in the branch, but will act on this as it was totally unacceptable. I'm yet to hear from him as I gave him my details. Its more that two months now.
I'm a Client to Monitor Net. Their response when the alarm rings is up nothing. I've had numerous fights with them on the response issue to an extent that their security guys (especially white securities) do not talk to me. To them, I am not supposed to complain. Who do I think I am?? That's what one once said. He even told me to get another Company and that he will never respond again to our alarm as there is nothing to steal anyway in my house. You call the contact centre to complain, you get told that the complaint will be escalated to the manager and nobody comes back to you. I'm reporting these here as I'm tired of talking to them and they do not seem to value me as a client and they like protecting each other. Recently my alarm was not working due to heavy rain and rang the whole night with remotes and panic buttons not working, the matter was discussed with the security on duty who only came after 30min, he indicated that he has sent the message to the office and somebody (technician) will be sent to check. Till today, nobody called or came. All is working but I do not know what was the problem. What if that happens in the future?? I now know that I'm only paying a bad service and even if I can go away, nobody may attend to my alarm or if they do come, they'll come at their time when all in the house is gone. I'm very frustrated. If there was another effective Competitor Company in our area, I would changed long time ago.
