Poor service from a dealership that claims to be “#1.” I app**** online for a used vehicle and was initially told it was already sold. Shortly after, a sales representative called me and said the vehicle was available. I submitted all requested documents, was told I had bank approval, and waited for bank validation. When I finally asked to visit the dealership to inspect and test drive the vehicle, I was then told again that it had been sold — allegedly even before I app****. I then received a call from a manager, apologizing and reassured me they will look for a same / alternative vehicle. But never happened. This process wasted three days of my time and shows a serious lack of communication and transparency. I don’t understand the reasoning behind this kind of bait-and-switch behavior, but it is unprofessional and unacceptable. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience.
I just want to warn customers who want to buy a vehicle from We Buy Cars to avoid the Silver lakes branch. I made the mistake to fall for lies when purchasing my vehicle. The vehicle was in good condition according to their Dekra report and on test driving it, with no "warning lights" whatsoever, besides the tires that needed replacement. After purchasing the vehicle cash, I went to collect the vehicle the Saturday 17th of July. After waiting 30 min at the help desk for the vehicle, I realized something was wrong. I tracked the sales rep and the vehicle to the back workshop, where they were busy clearing a fault. I asked the sales rep Ruan multiple times if there is something wrong or I should know about. He kept on reassuring, the battery ran flat (music)when they replaced my tires. I took the vehicle, drove 180km home, just to find the battery were flat the next morning with an "Engine fault" light. I contacted Ruan immediately, which he trying to avoid me at all cost. Referred me to Customer care agents Kimberley and Ashley on email, who just don't bother to reply on any of my last 23 mails over the past month. I did replace the battery on my own cost, and Mercedes Boksburg confirmed the "check engine" light is the Glow plug controller the needs to be replaced. So my bottom line, We buy cars will go of their way to hide any defects, just to ensure you as customer take receipt of the vehicle. Then avoid contact at all cost.
Disappointed in the service from the Mit Mak Motors team. In search of an Audi, I enquired on Thursday the 13th of January and 15th of January on their web site, Up to now a week later no one contacted me back. But since they have my email address I was flooded with mails ranging from "trade-inns, rotten dealerships, mileage on cars etc. I then contacted them personally. Showed interest in a vehicle, whereby I was encouraged to pay a R5000 "holding fee" to secure the vehicle since 42 sales personnel compete for the vehicles. After payment was done, I was told that some one else already paid their holding deposit before me. Nevertheless the vehicle was sold to another person, But now I struggling to get my R5000 back. Learn from my mistake - The Sales person do not reply.
Extremely poor service. Registered a water damage claim 7 weeks. Up to date not a single follow up call from Absa. On calling them I was told every week they are waiting for the contractors report. Now 7 weeks in. They supposedly received the qoute and will most probably submit it. No urgency whatsoever. Mean time the house is not in a state to live in. Ceiling collapsed in multiple rooms, carpets rotting. Cupboard damage in multiple rooms. And if I’m upset on expressing my concern on waiting 31min on a call, the operator putts me on hold. I will definitely not recommend ABSA insurance to anyone.
Very poor services from Telkom. I had a landline account (R845 p/m) with them for more than 3 years. I added 2 Iphones contracts (R810 p/m) onto my account this month. According to Telkom representitave, I will need to pay a prorata amount of R2281.19 for May and June by the 31st of May. But their system automatically gives me a R1000 credit score limit. Thus exceding this amount for both Iphones and landline amounts. Now they suspend my services on the 22nd of May, due to exceding this limit and no payment. If I want to lift the suspension, I need to pay the full amount now. They are aware of the system glitch but are not able to help me unless I pay the full amount. I think this is pathetic, and I still have to deal with this type of service for the remainder of the 2 year contract.
