I have been trying many months now to sign into the new Showmax on my TV. I can log in on my PC, but can't remember the password. When I try to reset my password, I get a blank email from Showmax. I have been trying to report this, but there is no email address and it is not a standard query (apparently). So this is my attempt at reaching Showmax to ask them to reset my password.
I signed up for Spaces Works' virtual office a few years ago. I only signed up for the virtual receptionist. It started out fine, but I noticed that I misunderstood the amount I was going to be charged. After about a year I decided to cancel the virtual receptionist, because the quality of the connection was not great (I was battling to have a phone conversation) and it was rather expensive. I contacted Spaces to cancel the contract, but I was told that I need to keep paying for the whole contract term and that I need to cancel it on the app. I've searched high and low, but can't find the function on the app. I've read their online guide, but it is inaccurate. I logged in online, but the page where you need to cancel it is blanked out. I've had my personal assistant try to cancel it as well. No matter what I do I can't get out of this contract.
Roughly a year and a half ago when I was due for an upgrade, I decided to not sign a new contract because I weren't sure what phone to take. Vodacom phoned me to offer me a new contract. I said I don't want to sign a contract, because I don't want to be tied down in case my phone breaks. I will look for a new phone in a few months time. The consultant on the phone assured me that I will not be tied down and that I can cancel the contract any time, and that this voice recording is available. Roughly 6 months ago my phone started giving me issues and I wanted to sign a new contract. I went into Vodacom at Gardens Centre, where I was told that they can't do anything because the people who phone you are from a different department to the store. I tried to cancel it online, and once again that consultant told me that they are a different department and they can't help me. I checked for a phone number, I phoned them and they told me that it is a different department and they can't do anything. I kept insisting because it is ridiculous it is supposed to be one company, and they told me that I need to pay out R5,000.00 to cancel - even though I don't have a device and this amount is more than just paying the monthly amount. Needless to say, I certainly will never sign another contract with Vodacom. The company is completely disorganised where the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. These so-called voice recordings are not available, and they themselves don't even have any record of a contract but keep insisting that I do, and they keep deducting money from my account.
I ordered a printer from Loona.co.za on 4 June. A week later, their website was down and the phone number was not working. On the day that I wrote a review on Hello Peter, they came back to me and said it will be delivered in 2 - 3 working days. 5 working days I e-mailed them, no response. 8 working days I e-mailed them and they replied saying they will look into it. Today when I e-mailed them the e-mail address doesn't work, their website is down and no Facebook page. Seems it is a scam website.
I purchased a printer 4 days ago, 2 week days. I received a confirmation e-mail of the payment received. Yesterday I wanted to follow up because I have not received an expected delivery date and no invoice. On the payment confirmation e-mail there is no contact information. I went back to the website, but there is only a page with "We are in maintenance" - no contact information. I did a google search which showed a telephone number, but when I phone this number it gives a message saying the person is not available. I am starting to become nervous...
