I registered my tenants on 6th September and so far have not received any refund of payment as of now. Numerous emails go unanswered and am using up all of my cell phone data time trying to contact them.
Around August or September last year I went to Nedbank in Newmarket Park to enquire as to the status of a small business account that I had which had not been used during Covid. The account had become dormant, so it had to be restored to active status. This was done but I only wanted to access it via computer. I did not need a card and did not want it on my phone as the only activity on the account would be depositing cash and making payment via internet transfer as I did before their system was changed. I made several more visits to the Newmarket Branch who were never able to accomplish anything. I was never contacted re progress, so I decided to just close the account as still nothing had happened since my last visit, even though it had been fairly recent. I filled in the required forms, but the account had then been put back to dormant status. I was assured that the funds would be transferred to an account with another bank and waited patiently for this to happen. It did not happen, as they had again returned the account to dormant status but still managed to process charges to the account. I visited the bank again on 2nd May with the purpose of withdrawing the funds in cash, but the dormant status had not been removed, despite the promises made on 18th April. I received no communications yet despite yesterday’s promise to call me this morning. So, I will have to go to the bank once more as I suspect it will just lie on a desk until I have time to make another, probably fruitless, visit. This debacle has cost me much time and expense, and the feeling of utter frustration and anger has affected my mood tremendously.
Impossible to get hold of One Plan for emergency admittance after hours on any of their platforms.
I would like to acknowledge the disgraceful treatment that I received from Mark Mills ad his father Selwyn. The renovated pool leaked not once but twice. Presently left with a swimming pool that still has a leak. In addition questioning whether the repair was ever paid for despite providing proof of payment. let us not forget the massive pool bladder with the pathetically small amount of water that remained in the pool - currently destroying our back lawn. Acknowledgement that they accepted liability then questioning payment? Think they have gone out of business.
Further to my complaint regarding the failure of Tabonline to credit a payment made on 27th May. I decided to try once more to resolve the query at the beginning of June. I received no calls from a senior person despite leaving several messages. A lady named Nothanto fixed my problem in under 5 minutes. I tried to call a senior person at customer care and left messages for either Pedro or Tracy to call so that I could advise them of this - still waiting. So here is my compliment to Nothanto. Thank you Nothanto - it was a pleasure to deal with you. You were at all times professional and courteous.
Despite providing proof of payment for R100.00 deposited n to my account on 27th May and being promised that it would be fixed in half an hour still has not been credited as of 31st May.
A big thank you to the staff of Checkers Brackenhurst. I left my cell phone behind at the kiosk and they were able to show video footage of myself and subsequently when my phone was lifted by a man wearing a blue t shirt and shorts. With no hesitation he picked up my phone and immediately switched off. No chance of the owner getting in touch that way. The cell phone has been disabled as has the sim card. So all you have managed to do, sir, is cause me a great deal of inconvenience and wasted time.
Further to my review on the vuvuzela noise - it is still happening today.
I live very close to the BP service station in Swartkoppies Road, Alberton. for the - I think it is the third day in a row now - the petrol attendants have been blowing some sort of Vuvuzela-like instrument. The police have called twice already at my request but it still continues intermittently. It has been driving me insane. The attendants say it is some sort of competition. Could the management please note that the service station is in a residential area and this sort of noise is unacceptable. The staff treat complaints as a joke.
