It has now been nine (9) days since my initial request, sent on 23 July 2025, regarding a formal inspection into the employment practices at Monument Hardware, Kempton Park. To date, I have received no acknowledgment or feedback from your office, and no action appears to have been taken. This delay is deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about the Department’s responsiveness to potential labour law violations. I submitted a detailed account of possible non-compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA) and other statutory obligations, including: • Excessive working hours (approx. 254 hours per month) without overtime pay. • Work on public holidays with no additional compensation. • ******** wage deductions without payslips or breakdowns. • No contract of employment issued. • Uncer*****y regarding UIF registration. • No proof of salary payments or statutory deductions. • Possible falsification of records to avoid UIF and tax obligations. Despite clear evidence of ongoing exploitation, no investigation has commenced. These are not minor administrative oversights—they are serious infringements that directly affect the livelihood and rights of a young South African employee. I am now formally demanding that a Labour Inspector be assigned to visit Monument Hardware, Kempton Park without further delay to assess compliance with labour legislation and take the necessary enforcement action. If I do not receive a formal response and confirmation of action by close of business Friday, 8 August 2025, I will escalate this matter to: • The Public Protector’s Office • The Department of Labour Head Office • HelloPeter and social media platforms • Relevant labour rights organisations and legal advisors I remain hopeful that your office will uphold its mandate to protect vulnerable workers and ensure that employers are held accountable for ******** labour practices. It has now been over two weeks since your email dated 22 July, in which you assured me that I would receive my Paid-Up Letter for the closure of my FNB Loan Account 4-000-062-019-131. To date, I have still not received the document. The ongoing delay and lack of communication are both unacceptable and unprofessional. This experience has only reaffirmed my decision to end my relationship with FNB. Despite multiple assurances regarding the suretyship documentation, no action has followed. I was contacted by Mrs Robin Keyser on the 30th of December 2024. She stated that she would like to help me with my Debt which I have. She did not gave me any time to think about the so called proposal. She just wanted my bank account details for a debit order to go off on my bank account. One can not get hold of them on there telephone lines as they can only making out going calls and can't receive in coming calls what bull **** is this. It is now the fifth time that we myself and my family was nearly in a car accident as the Taxi’s just drove over the robots that is not working. I feel that you are now discriminate against me. The Robot at Harvest Place is also not working for more than 2 weeks so is the Robot at Bredell crossing also not working for more than 3 weeks I think that this matter is a joke for you. His reply was but the robot is not working why must I stop? So, this let one wondering does this person have a valid driver’s license? Can you come and fix the robots please. It is not once or twice that we nearly got killed on this road. You are there to fix the problem not just sit back with your arms fold and waiting for a horrible accident to happen. Good evening MTN, This is nonsense . It has been nearly 4wks when I spoke to one of your call centre agent on the 18th of August 2023. I was informed by the call centre agent that he can't assist me now with the upgrade of my Two (2) current lines as there is something not adding up and it has to do with my credit. I then called again on the 25th of August I was then informed that an email will be sent to the credit department to get my upgrade ready for my two (2) handsets that is due for an upgrade. On the 26th of August I went to MTN Harvest Place to go and sort my email out as I don't get my statement sent to my personal emails address. I then apply for the upgrades of my two (2) lines in the store. The upgrades did not happen as the system was very slow at the store. Cynthia informed me that I must come back on the 27th of August so that she can finalise the upgrades. Cynthia also received the following message that there is something not adding up and that it has to do with my credit. It is now the 12th of September and I still haven't received any response from no one from both MTN head Office how did not even answered the call nor Mtn Harvest Place in Kempton park when I called the number of MTN Harvest Place which is provided on the internet I spoke to a lady and she informed me that the number is not the number for MTN at Harvest Place in Kempton park. I told my Two daughters that I don't want to hear MTN name any more and that I don't want to do any business with MTN as they never comes back to one. I will never in my life take another contract out with MTN when my contract expire this year December 2023. And that you can be sure of. It's now more than 48hr and no one of MTN has come back to me regarding this Matter. I will post bad reviews of MTN on Hellopeter and on your website's till one is coming back to me regarding the above mentioned subject.
