We shop for years and spent thousands of Rands to buy groceries. From the beginning of 2024 a new atmosphere of poor service and attitude has evolved in this once friendly old Checkers. Unfriendly cashiers and no packers are available, and no managers present to report these dire issues. The number of customers in sharp decline at the end of the month and is unusual for this branch. People are complaining and are moving to other supermarkets in George.
We had one of the most pleasant experiences at the hospital this week. Doctor Hendrik Snyman, the head of the team of cardiologists, is one of the most outstanding doctors we have ever met and the personnel of the heart team is friendly and let one just feels great to be there even though you are not well. Thank you so much and well done ! You are the best ! Frik & Janet Strydom.
We have ask them (municipality) numerous times to let the refuge truck pick up all the black bags on Wednesdays first because of the 'Green Belt' we live next to. Denneoord is very close to the mountain and a lot of baboons live there. They tear the bags looking for bits and pieces for something to eat. Bags are put out early in the morning, but the bobs wake up very early and then they are getting busy getting their breakfast for the day. If the GM allow the trucks to load the bags early , it will help not to have a lot of bags torn open. Please help us because that is not a lot to ask.
George municipality is one of the wealthiest in South Africa, but they just increase all the services they 'provide' to the community. It is impossible to live in this great place with all the increases and especially for people with a low income. We have a few green belt areas and houses on this greenbelt are prone of baboons and monkeys invading their space. But, we enjoy this piece of nature around us. To curb the baboons from tearing the black bags on Wednesdays when they come to collect it, we have asked them if they can't just pick up the bags first along the houses on the green belt, especially in Denneoord that is close to the mountain. It was done once or twice and stopped. Is it so difficult to change the pick up route and service this area first ? It seems to me they are in a rut and cannot get out of it. Please help the baboons and not entice them from picking the easy way out getting food. Thank you. An old baboon.
Why is their service at their branch at the Garden Route Mall so poor ? My wife waited for more than an hour to be attended to between 13:00 and 14:00. The branch was closed and re-opened on 26th July, 2021 and now closed again until the 4th July,2012. At the branch in York Street you have to wait in a que in the sun to be attended to for long periods up to 30 minutes and longer. Customers are upset about this situation and want answers.
