Booked flights online on 1 January. The full amount due went off my credit card on 2 January, but SAA also put a duplicate hold on my card for the full amount. In effect, I was charged twice. This hold was only released on 13 January after several emails to customer services. They forward the query to SAA's financial department, who decides when they want to look at your query. No way to contact them directly and also NO feedback from them. So you are left waiting for however long they want to take to resolve the issue. I will never book with SAA again. Not worth the stress if their financial department cannot be bothered to give proper feedback.
I have always had excellent service with their online orders, but this time I used their Whatsapp platform to place my order, because they claimed to have some kind of technical difficulty in giving me my discount online. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THEIR WHATSAPP PLATFORM AT ALL. According to the automated confirmation they sent on Whatsapp, you are supposed to receive order confirmation in 2 days, with processing up to day 4 and then delivery within 9 business days. I ordered, paid and confirmed on the Monday. On Thursday I queried my order number, which I then received on the Friday, with my ordering date indicated as the Friday! In other words, day 5 now became day 1 on their side with the status reflecting as "processing". As I needed the order urgently, I tried everything to get feedback on when it would be delivered now seeing that they messed up. The only feedback they can give you is "kindly let me check". After receiving three of those, I tried phoning all their contact numbers. Two went to voice mail and the third apparently does not exist. I got hold of a second consultant on Whatsapp. Guess what feedback? "Kindly let me check". Sent two emails to their query department on their website with NO response. From there on the consultants on Whatsapp simply ignored any further messages from me. I am not going to subject myself to this kind of frustration again. Not worth it. If they don't value me enough as client to respond to my valid queries on a product I paid for, I am not going to risk my money and waste my time with them again. Such a shame as their online portal has been great up to now.
Absolutely pathetic. Received a notification on the 23rd for delivery on the 24th. Wasted 20 min cell phone time to phone and reschedule delivery to the 25th as I was not available. Still they phoned me on the 24th because they were at my house. Received another notification on the 25th. Waited the whole day and now status updated as "failed delivery - nobody available'. Not true at all! Tried phoning their call centre, wasted 45 min of cell time going to nr 1 in the queue and was then bumped back to nr 6 again!! Never ever use them if you can avoid it.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Top class B&B in Burgersdorp. Beautiful, clean room with attention to detail and excellent hospitality. Very friendly and accommodating staff who think outside the box to make your stay even more comfortable. Surrounded by well kept gardens. Thank you so much for a perfect experience.
If you are looking for an excellent secondhand online bookshop, look no further. Excellent service, very good prices and courier delivery within a day. Condition of books exactly (and better) as described. Well deserved 5 star rating.
Ordered two items on their on-line sale on 29 January. Promised 3 - 5 working days delivery to branch. Received sms that there will be a delay due to high volumes during sales period, which I could kind of understand, although this is not supposed to be the client's problem. If you run a sales campaign, you need to make provision for high volumes?? Now 7 working days and this morning one of the items is indicated as "rejected" on my profile. According to customer services it is because it is no longer in stock?? Now, 7 days later, you realize this? Or is it because I bought the item for R110 and it is now advertised (still on sale) as R150? They can also not tell me when or even IF the other item will be delivered as they don't know if there is stock yet! Terrible service and not what I would expect from Truworths. I will never order online from you again.
We bought a radio that was advertised to be on special from House & Home. We visited 4 branches looking for stock, and - our initial frustration - none of them showed the special prices on their shelves. It was a small radio marked down from R1,299 to R999. Eventually found stock, but the sound quality was terrible and we decided to return it within their 7 days return policy. This proofed to be an absolute mission. I bought the radio with my husband's card, which means that my name was on the original purchasing docs. When he tried to return the radio, presenting all the original docs and the card the radio was bought with, he was turned away because he needed my ID??? This is apart from the fact that the branch did not have cash to refund him the R999. And it is not just this branch. Apparently House & Home cannot give you a cash refund as they do not have cash in the shop. This was a relatively small amount?? He eventually had to visit a third branch to get his money back!! Nobody has that kind of time to waste. Bottom line: Buy your product somewhere else and save yourself the frustration of getting your money back if you are not satisfied. Will never buy from them again.
Excellent buying experience. Ordered personalized color changing mugs. Did this on a Saturday night and received the final products via courier on Monday afternoon (without requesting special speedy delivery). Will definately order from them again. Thank you!
We celebrated my mother's birthday at Ga Rouge and was very impressed with their food and attention to detail. They have private dining rooms available and the service was great. Bit pricey, but I can definitely recommend them for special occasions. Thank you!
