I have trying to renew my contract for the business account since November 2025 and it is not March 2026, and MTN is giving me a run around, with my business number 071 332**** . I have asked MTN to either remedy the month-on-month contract i am defaulted to after the 24 months contract expired, and I have been fighting this battle for 4 months. Am not sure what is causing the delay, and i c an only conclude that it is either utter incompetence or deliberate attempt to infuriate me. I have asked for my contract to be cancelled, but I am held hostage to MTN as such request has not been implemented, many months later. There has to be some sort of contravention to the law on the part of MTN on this one, but big company always get away with things like this. Here is my final plea to MTN and I hope the public would be aware of this and NEVER subscribe to MTN ever.... PLEASE CANCEL MY CONTRACT WITH YOU AND LET ME KNOW WHAT IS IT I NEED TO PAY FOR CANCELLATION, IF ANY, CONSIDERING YOU SENT ME THE DEVICE WITHOUT CHANGING THE PACKAGE, AND AGAINST MY REQUEST. Am sure this is not too much to ask, considering I have been nicely asking for over four months already.... Please note that I will post a video of Tiktok and pay money to promote it so it goes viral, so everyone can know about your mistreatment.... if this doesn't get solve in the next few days... I have tried calling you customer service, it didn't help. I tried the Twitter/X, and it still doesn't work. Am trying hello peter now.... I hope it works and we get a solution, else I try another channel... MTN's customer service is becoming very bad lately and at this rate, you'd lose customers at the high rate. 2% yoy growth is a sign that you are pathetic....
On October 2nd 2023, in the morning I woke up to realise that Outsurance has double debited my account overnight, and immediately made a call to their call centre to sort it out. The call centre agent was quick to realise that two debit orders were submitted On Sept 30th, and one of them was a mistake and should be reversed. The agent them asked for bank statement showing double debit and the proof of account on my name to deposit refund into. I was then told that money would be deposited into my account within 48hrs.... Even though i was not happy as there were other debit orders to go through that i have budgetted for with the money they *******ly/mistakenly took, I calmed myself down and understood. Today is 5 days later, and my debit orders bounced and went unpaid. Needless to say, money is not back in my account yet, even though I have been following up for 5 straight days and been given stupid excuses as to why am not refunded yet. If anyone at Outsurance can read this today, I need my money back asap please. Be competent and considerate enough to refund me asap, and stop holding my money hostage. You have been good to me over the years (PROBABLY 15 YEARS) but this time you have dropped the ball spectacularly.... Pull up you socks and do what is right by me PLEASE. Five people I have spoken to in the past 5 days but none of them is competent enough to solve this. NOT ACCEPTABLE
Guys, please don't even think of buying anything from Bishops Auto spare at 14 Van Riebeeck street. They are crooks and dishonest and don't sell anything of quality. I bought a steering rack from them Saturday 14th and paid R 3500, took it home and got it installed Monday morning. Then I poured the steering oil and started the car. I realised that the oil container doesn't actually fill up. It turned out the oil was going right through the rack. I then turned the steering from one side to the next and almost all the oil was on the ground. What a waste. I then called the Bishops sales lady to tell her about it, as she had advised me I have 5 days to determine if it is working and then bring it back or report it. She kindly promised to look for the other one for me, and that I should not bring it back to the shop yet. She eventually called me Thursday 20th to tell me that they could find the one at the price I paid, and that I may bring the rack back. Friday morning, today, I took it back, and met the obnoxious empty-headed manager of the shop and he wanted to beat me up. He threw the rack I bought from them onto the packing lot and push me out of the shop pointing his finger on my face, and with his face soo close to mine I could smell his foul spell, yuck. I left without a rack and without the money I paid it. On my return to the shop with police, he was so rude to the police and told then to go way. pointed his finger on their face like he did me. The matter has been reported to court and will see how it ends. You really don't want this drama in your life so, stay away from them, I wish their business die and pray he meets someone who is not going to be as much of a peaceful pushover as I was. STAY AWAY FROM THEM I SAY...
So, Hellopeter removed my earlier review about the WebuyCars' unfairness without having to engage with me first. That’s interesting and am wondering if they are not captured by the big corporations. Am still waiting for their explanation regarding the grounds on which they removed my review. Nonetheless, here is another one: Bought an Audi A5 from WebuyCars Jhb South few weeks ago and needless to say that the car has problems they didn’t disclose, not on Dekra report and neither verbally when I went to check it on the floor. Merely two days after collecting the car and having driven it for less that 100km, warning lights started lighting up like a Christmas tree. I took a video of the warning lights and sent to my sales consultant so see. I was then advised to lodge a complaint which i did. Whist waiting for the response on my complaint form the so-called head office, i took the car to the branch from which i bought and explained everything. The took the car to their workshop, in the same building and 30 minutes later the car came back with all the warning lights erased/muted/hidden (They are magicians aren’t they?) and they showed me what engine part I needed to buy, the part they didn’t mention on Dekra report that it is faulty and needed changing. WOW. The problem is, few weeks before I bought the car, it was advertised on their website at R 5000 cheaper than the price I eventually paid, and no one was interested in buying it apparently. So, they removed the car from the website and took it to their workshop ( the same workshop they took it again this time around) to work on it so it is sellable and hence to increase the markup. They clearly muted/killed/hid the warning lights to make sure of it, that is why they reappeared just hours after taking possession of it. The proof is their stamp on the service booklet dated just few days before I bought it at the higher price, R 5000 higher, than they originally advertised and prior to erasing/muting/hiding warning lights. My problem with this whole thing is the misleading adverti*****t and the sneakiness with which they hide faults to effect higher revenue. Dekra report didn’t mention any of the things they are now admitting are wrong with the car, so please don’t take Dekra report on face value. It is a highly manipulated and misleading report that they are now admitting to me it is not comprehensive and was never meant to be, surprise! My issue is the engine light they erased prior to my buying the car, which could have influence my buying or not buying decision, and again removing it when I took the car to the workshop after I lodged a complaint. My advise: Do not buy cars from webuycars, they sell lemons advertised as good cars to intentionally mislead. Secondly, Dekra reports they use to try and increase sales is not worth the paper it is written on and should not be believed. There are other reviews on this very same platform that would attest to this fact, namely —> review by Seida M titled ’Sales and profit NOTHING ELSE, —> review by Lehlohonolo M titled ‘Bad product’, —> review by Vic G titled ‘ We buy cars Dekra report a SCAM. Do yourself a favour and check the out and hence stay away from this dealership, their ‘cheap’ cars will end up costing you a lot more that you want after you uncover deliberately hidden faults. Their complaints process is so flawed and packed with not so intelligent people too, it would be useless to lodge any complaint with them. By the way, am still waiting to hear from them as to what their excuse is for publishing a misleading information about their cars, false adverti*****t i.o.w, which is in effect in contravention with the consumer protection act. I won’t be surprise if Hello Peter would rather remove this review like they did the first one. Are they on webuycars’ payroll? It begs the question doesn’t it? Am giving them the benefit of a doubt this time around, let see.
Please be cautious when dealing with Webuycars as they won't disclose all the faults the car has. They even hide (mute) the warning lights just days before selling their cars and hence make customers buy cars at the higher price that they would have otherwise. I bought a 2011 Audi A5, a code 2 car, from them. They didn't disclose it was a code 2 car and on top of that they worked on the car at their workshop in Jhb South branch and muted all the warning lights to increase their profit. Two days after collecting the car, all sorts of warning light started appearing. I complained to them and they took it back to their workshop whilst waiting in the reception, 30 minutes later they brought the car back, with all the warning lights cancelled again without actually fixing the car or apologising for a misleading and premeditated 'false advertising'.This is against consumer act but the violate the act because they know they can get away with it. I would suggest you don't buy cars from them until you have an independent mechanic check the car thoroughly and put it onto the computer scan. They are scammers only after quick buck and they deliberately mislead customers with their fake advertising. Don't believe anything they say about the car, including the manipulated Dekra report they advertise. What a shame.
"Dear Valued Customer. You are due for an upgrade @ MTN Clearwater (Next 2 McDonalds, opposite Foto First) on 01/12/20" is an sms I received from MTN few day ago. Today, on 01/12/20 I went to the MTN Clearwater but I was told I cannot be upgraded to the package of my choice because 'I am still on an old system and they might migrate me to new system in few weeks time' and I was encouraged to take the contract package that doesn't serve my needs. Really? After 12 years on MTN contract this is really not the service I deserved. MTN, please stop advertising promotions you have no intention of offering to your customers because that make you look pathetic and misleading. You deserve negative rating for this mess and I hope you sort it out... very soon. Kind regards Misled and disappointed 083 962 ####
Few weeks ago we submitted a claim for the lost cell phone with MTN insurance, the insurance we have been paying for 23 months now. MTN referred us to their device insurance provider, Pinnacle Insurance. What a bunch of incompetent money-grabbing and claim-denying individuals Pinnacle are. It is ok when we pay the insurance premium religiously for the past two years AS LONG AS we don't claim, right? It is sad what they put us through and the run around we have had to endure, being sent from pillar to post. This morning, we were told that Pinnacle is no more and it has been replaced by the company called Admyntec who seems to be clueless about our claim that is currently entering the third week since we submitted it. What a mess. I would urge any of you who intends having a cell phone insurance to NOT get one administered by MTN and any of their subsidiaries/partners. This is really pathetic and frustrating.... MTN, please pull your socks and don't associate with bunch of losers like these aggrieved client 071 332 4907
So, imagine taking your car for service and paying for diagnosis.... only for diagnosis to give you the green light and hence being quoted for service. Imagine paying for service and waiting for your car to be brought to you any minutes after..... and imagine waiting for an hour for the delivery to happen only to be told that your car cannot start... and there might be something wrong in the engine... something that was not there when you dropped the car for service few hours earlier, something that could NOT be detected by the diagnosis you paid for and didnt have a choice but to pay for. Imagine being told that you would have to return home without a car for the weekend because they (mercedes constantia Kloof) have to figure out why your car cannot start, even though you left it in the care of the dealership in he morning just few hours ago, drivable. Imagine the folowing monday being told that, the car you brought in for service has '****ed the engine' whilst in the care of the dealership, and it is your fault that your car is 'dead' and not drivable and hence you have to pay R51k so they could fix it for you. ***. Yeh, that is what happened to me, and I still dont have my car back and the Sandown Merc Constatia Kloof dealership is ok with breaking my car and getting away with it. What a bunch of crooks.... It doesn't matter to them; Mauro Pozzan, Vicky and all of them that the car was dropped running perfectly and then when I have to get it back, and after paying for service, it doesnt run at all.... and I have to pay R50 000 (at least) to clean up their mess and incomptencies. Will see about that. To anyone who has been *****ed by Constantia Kloof Mercedes benz in recent past, please contact me asap at ********** so we fight back against these bullies.
So, it seems insurance companies are really determined to pick pocket their clients by all means necessary. Oakhurst insurance and dotsure seem to be the worse, and that should be a surprise since they are in the same stable. I was involved in an accident, and it was clearly not my fault and the third party agreed to that. Got her details and she promised to claim from her insurance and submitted all these details to Oakhurst/dotsure. A day later I was told not to constant the third party again as hey will handle the claim from the third party insurance themselves. Wow, how helpful they are I thought. Unbeknowns, this was part of their plan to sc&w me. Then I was told to pay excess which they will claim back from the third party on my behalf, which I did, trusting they would fulfill their promise. Well, I haven’t received my ‘refundable’ excess money and no feedback whatsoever from them, until today. Sound like crooks to me. A month later I submitted a claim for a lost key. And I was told I was negligent. I am still waiting for explanation from them as to what constitutes negligence and what doesn’t when it comes to lost car keys. Sounds like crooks to me. They do it because they know they would get away with it, yet collecting your premium every months, under the pretense that they would help you when in need. So people, remember that insurance don’t serve your interests but theirs and their bottom line. I won’t recommend you join oakhurst or any of its subsidiaries. You’d be scr*wed.
