I app**** for internet service with Home Connect, and it has been an absolute nightmare. My application was approved almost two weeks ago, yet nothing has progressed. I requested activation for a specific date, but instead of installing the service, I got vague promises and NO clear timeline. To make matters worse, when I followed up, their support had no answers. Yesterday, they finally called - only to ask me which provider services my area. Shouldn’t they have figured that out BEFORE approving my application?? Now, after all this frustration, I’ve decided to cancel. But guess what? They won’t even process my cancellation properly. I sent a formal request via email, yet their response was a generic, unhelpful bot reply telling me to cancel through their portal - which is impossible because I don’t even have an active service. This company is completely disorganized, wastes customers' time, and provides zero accountability. If you value your time, your money, and your sanity, stay far away from Home Connect. I had HIGH HOPES based on the Hellopeter index, but no luck.
13+ year customer. Absolutely disgusting lack of customer value. My credit card interest rate hasn't changed in 12 years and is almost the highest it possibly be (21.65%). I have an incredible credit score, use the card for emergency purchases only, and yet have NEVER EVER been offered a better interest rate. My wife who has ZERO credit score, app**** for a credit card and got THREE TIMES my credit limit and a 16% interest rate. We earn the exact same salary. Genuinely, this bank used to be good and I spoke highly of them. I will NEVER recommend Capitec to single human being ever again my life. I will be taking a few friends of mine with me, as we move on to literally any other bank. Oh, and to top it off, I sent an email complaining about this very issue, only to get a call today saying "there's nothing we can do about it". Well done Capitec, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Ordered an item on the 27th of November with the notion that it was going to be delivered the following day as it was urgent. Delivery the next day i.e Wednesday the 28th of November was indicated on the order details. Made special arrangements to have someone at the address to sign for me, and of course it did not come. I phoned customer service and was assured 100% that it would be delivered on the 5th of December (today), which is absolutely insane. With the delivery expected today, I logged into my account to track and see that the order is now only going to be delivered on the 7th of December. Shocking service from Takealot. Anyone with a brain will know that it will not be delivered on Friday the 7th, and the matter of urgency/reliability is laughable at this point.
