There was a rude consultant who called me, trying to aggressively sell me life cover from Discovery, who was even cutting me off while I was speaking, and he was very forward with me. These agents are clearly not aligned, because 2 days ago one had called me and was much more respectful, yet he was supposed to call me back the following day but did not - his name was Morgan.
The Vitality component of this Discovery package is not complying to customer query. I logged a ticket regarding them deducting points from me for no reason, as I was about to achieve Diamond status for my fitness points. This was at the beginning of January. To this day, I have received no feedback despite the agent stating they would get back to me in a few days. I showed proof of points earned and that the Discovery app was deducting points for no reason, as if to prevent me from reaching Diamond status. This was completely unnecessary and absurd of them to do this.
This company has poor customer service and terrible follow-ups. They have become complacent because they have accumulated so many subscriptions. Beware of them. Their app is not accumulating my points correctly, I spoke to an agent about this 2 weeks ago now and still nothing has been resolved. They purposely kept me from achieving Diamond status and cannot justify how their app purposely kept deducting points even though I acquired them. I have screenshots to prove this. I will be taking this further.
Poor allocation of Vitality Points - I should be on diamond status already, but they're not allocating Parkrun points and activity points correctly, as if intentionally preventing me from reaching points goals. The service paid for is not acquired. I will not recommend Vitality to anyone.
Discovery has been deducting money from my savings account incorrectly. I spoke to an agent who did not understand what I was explaining, and there was no resolution. Poor service.
If there was less than 1 star to rate Vodacom, I would use it. They continue to deduct money from my account even though I have cancelled my contract with them (although I made sure they send me email proof of the contract being cancelled). I am going to take legal action against them because this is *********. Apart from them doing this, their customer service has been terrible. This includes data going missing, them giving me less data per month than agreed upon, yet increasing the tariffs and charging me more. This is despicable and I will never use Vodacom again, and I will not suggest anyone make use of their services no matter how attractive the package may seem. Because their consultants are also trained to deceive you on the phone calls and provide false assurance. However when the monthly debit orders start coming off your account, you see that they were not being honest.
Vodacom had deceived me by trying to retain me as a customer on contract that is now expired, then not getting back to me on the 30th April 2024, last week. What this resulted in was me staying on contract with them yet another month. I had initially called just to cancel, and they tried to retain me, but instead stalled me with bad offers, and did not get back to me (like the agent George had said he would) just so that I can stay on contract with them and they can keep charging me for yet another month. That is pure deception and *********. I will be taking this up with the Ombudsman.
This company has been *****ing money from my credit card. I did not approve any deduction firstly. Once I had found out that they are deducting money, I had gone onto the app and cancelled the subscription, which I did not consent to in the first place. Even after cancelling, Uber Eats still has been deducting R50 per month (since July/ August). This is ******** and I am going to take this further. I advise no one to leave their card details on any Uber app! This company is ********!
Absa Vehicle Finance has completely ****** me and are unresponsive to resolve the issue. I have paid up my vehicle finance amount owing, and they still deducted the amount from my account. They are unresponsive to resolve the issue and pay me back the amount in full plus interest. I would advise no one to ever take vehicle finance with this bank or deal with them in any way because their service is completely pathetic.
This company is a sham and I will never use their services again and also promote that their services should never be used. They are unprofessional and do not assist customers in the way they should. They have caused me to accumulate excess bank charges because they did not debit the amount on the correct date that I had explicitly told them to. And now, they wish to charge me excess charges to reinstate my account which has been deactivated because of their own incompetence. They are useless and will try by all means to convince you to stay on board with their contracts when your current one expires, but be warned, once they retain you as a customer, they will continue to steal you data, give you poor service and get excess charges out of you. They are the worse network provider bar none.
